Just because my interest was piqued since it was the only resto that I know of offering this kind of product. And I love panda bears and the color violet.
So immediately upon landing in Dumaguete I dragged my friends to Siliman University because I knew the resto was near it. We asked around a couple of times since the resto is not strategically located. It was very small and easy to miss.
We ordered the the different flavors - chocolate, vanilla, and ube. It was really disappointing because I was expecting at least for the ice cream to taste like the ice cream we're used to.
It tasted bland and not creamy. The dough that encased it was fried alright but it also tasted bland. I thought I was sick because when I am, food tastes like cardboard. This fried ice cream reminded me of that taste.
Still, don't take my word for it. Maybe I just had too much expectations. Since it's cheap, please try it for yourself. You might have a different experience than I did.
