Had a great time with the family on a Picnic Boat. Awesome area to navigate - dropped the anchor and had lunch at Refuge Bay.

Great coffee and muffins for quick morning bite . The fish curry is sensational for lunch accompanied with a bottle of wine or 2 . Have been here a number of times over recent months and love the food, the value and the service ... the location isn't too bad either ;-) Can get a bit busy on weekend so if driving you may need to hike a hundred metres down a a steep road, the kiosk access is also via a set of steps so could be difficult for some .
We stopped here for lunch whilst on a river cruise. We both enjoyed good meals, I had the fish and chips and my husband the halloumi stack, both were very well cooked and delicious. We also took home some scones to have later that were excellent. This is a lovely spot to have lunch and the service is both friendly and quick.
We had burgers and chips (two beef and 1 chicken). The patties were dry and tasteless and the chips were overcooked and brittle. The meal was unenjoyable and we all only half finished. For $26 per burger and chips ($90 in total between us) we were deeply disappointed in the value for money and the quality of the food we received.
Damn fine coffee. A free 2hr mooring out the front, it’s a great place to stop. Did I mention the coffee?
