Hard pushed to find a better lunch spot in Sydney. If you tick all the boxes like we did it will be about AUD260 per person for the degustation lunch with paired wines... and coffee, and more drinks... you get the idea. We had a long lunch on a Sunday and we all felt it was worth it.

There were 3 of us, one being a vegetarian, and all opted for the Degustation menu with paired wines. So granted we chose the most expensive option but it was my birthday so what the heck.
Firstly I do have to say that the way they personally catered for the vegetarian, with unique vege options for all 7 set menu courses was not only much appreciated but equal in quality of all the other dishes.
All 7 courses were fantastic. It was a beautiful day, boats on the water, Kookaburras hanging around for feeding time, could not have asked for better.
A great touch was the story for every wine they served, which were perfectly matched to the food. Both waiters were terrific, happy to chat and have a laugh, and lets face it, with only about 24 of us there, it was a very relaxing day for all.
Not certain how they would of coped with more than double the number, which seemed to be the potential capacity, but we were well looked after.

Couple of tips:
1. Take a light jacket. Even though it was a gorgeous +30c day in Sydney, it was about 24c down by the water in this tucked away gem.
2. which leads us to the next tip. Just before the bottom of Cottage Point Rd, look left, and you'll see the sign that points to Anderson Place. Not difficult to miss. The Inn is at the bottom of a load of steps.
3. Parking is terrible. You will be parking halfway up the street, and it's a steep street. If you have mobility impaired guests, drop them at the bottom first.

Would recommend the degustation set menu. As some other posters have said, the food combinations can be a little different, so put yourself in their hands and you will enjoy everything. I think of the 3 of us only 1 dish was pushed away non finished by one person. Everything else was devoured enthusiastically. I won't go into detail here as you can look up their menu on line, and reading the menu does not do the food justice.

Thanks guys, had a great time.

Absolutely beautiful food and wonderful service. Ben looked after us like family and was a great help in organising our departing transportation- the one drawback with the remote location.
Should be two hats. Highly recommended.
Kangaroo tartare was such a great surprise - even for my wife who wouldn’t usually try this. Bug tart and the octopus were both wonderful and the snapper was one of the best dishes with the most flavoursome broth.

We had a 5 course tasting menu and by looking at the menu I was not overly enthusiastic. What odd combinations. But...... we were blown away by the beautiful creations and explosion of flavours. Gorgeous situated on the water, very friendly, attentive staff, great cocktails to start our evening with. What a fun night we had.

Fantastic service and food. Beautiful scenery. Park the car on the street then walk down to the wharf to discover this hidden jewel. Can also travel by boat, ferry and seaplane.

My husband and I dined here for the first time last night and we were so impressed by the quality of food and service. We had the degustation menu (so don't expect large serves) and they were incredibly unique and delicious! Definitely some of the best dishes we have eaten! The staff are friendly and the location right on the waters edge is beautiful! We arrived early to enjoy the sunset. Definitely suited to a special occasion as it is quite pricey, but this experience exceeded our expectations. We will be back again!😋
