the restaurant was very quiet. the shared food plates were not a problem so we ordered a special of vegetable fritters, a couple of mocktails including a mango concoction, monkfish on brocolli, Char Sui pork ribs, Hiosin Duck Crepes and roti bread
the fritters were very overdone they seemed to be brocoli, some beans and a few chips, the monk fish okay but a bit under for my liking, the crepes were nice and so was the roti but the mango drink was salty!!
we could not manage the ribs as our appetite was a bit off after the other dishes so we took it home and to be honest they were lovely
all in all disapointing

Fusion means confusion. The place seems to be run rather amateurishly by very young staff. The food was marginal at best: Venison curry consisted of a few bits of meat swimming in a greasy sauce; the salad, supposedly full of red cabbage, greens, candied cashews, was mostly a mass of noodles and tasteless quinoa, almost inedible. The mussels were dry in their shells as if they had been delayed a very long time before serving. You might consider getting a drink here for the view, but the expensive food is a sad disappointment.

Came here later in the evening on Good Friday. Not a lot of customers, so we had a reasonable choice of tables both inside and on their deck. Fantastic views of the lake and good radiant heaters (plus blankets for the cooler half) to keep it comfortable. They also have retractable clear plastic covers for when the winds and temperatures are truly chilly.

We ordered two curry dishes to share - venison and chicken, with a side of roti. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. Our mains arrived quickly and looked very appealing, but this is where the rating goes down to average. For the fairly steep price ($30 per dish) there was very little meat in both dishes. There was a lot of sauce, which was quite flavourful, but only about six cubes of meat in each bowl, and the venison, which was supposed to have potato chunks in it as well, only seemed to have one.

We had lots of extra sauce once we finished, but not enough rice to make a good snack or breakfast, so we ordered another rice to go and had them pack the rest in take away containers for us. The were between batches of jasmine rice but offered us spiced rice at the same price, which we accepted.

Final little comment is that they have a limited beer selection. Two on tap, two by the bottle, and none of them are local or craft beers (which I’ve grown quite used to seeing on almost every menu in NZ).

Overall, great location, good flavour, but disappointed with the meat quantity. It could have been because it was such a busy day with the post-air show crowd that this was the bottom of both pots for the night.

Food: I had Veg Thai Curry. The chef made it really well.
Ambiance: Is good. The view is good for outdoor sitting.
Service: People are good, if you are hungry then you may find the service slightly slow.
(It may also be because when i visited there was a group of around 20 pax)

Great outside balcony overlooking the lake (book ahead if you want one of those tables). We had dumplings, two curries and some spicy coated chicken, all absolutely delicious.
