A group of us stayed in Twizel on route doing the Alps to Ocean bike ride. All 12 of us ate dinner here and every plate was perfect, food well presented and perfect flavours. Service was just right, the correct amount of attention and relaxed atmosphere. I had the Nut Loaf, it was above expectation. We also had our breakfast there, again, quality food and the perfect amount. Great staff, great atmosphere, would totally recommend.

We had coffee here when we arrived as a stopover on the A2O cycle trip. We ended up booking our group in for dinner and all enjoyed our meal. We were booked in for breakfast the next morning and that was very nice as well!

Had a delightful meal tonight never expected such a first class setting in this little town. Glad we did not have an entree as would not been able to do it justice. The sticky date pudding was heavenly.

The chef can cook but the service was lacking.

We had an entree to share being the 'babaganoosh and bread' it was really tasty but it wasnt really bread. It was tortilla which i would never describe as bread. Felt a bit robbed by this actually and it let the menu down as the aubergine was wonderful.

We both had a main which were fine. The salmon was a little soggy if anything but its a small complaint as it was cooked medium rare how we like it. The pork seemed confit'd maybe and very tasty. Traditional flavours. All married very well.

The dessert was a choc mousse. Not really a mousse but again not bad kind of what id expect from home cooking however good flavour.

Over all the food is a 4/5 its good so go eat here! However the service..

The waitress was having a bad day. Rolled her eyes and was very cold with us. I wanted to see if she was ok so i asked and got a stone wall. Maybe it was my aftershave who knows.. the waitress was younger amd seemed nice.

We paid and left it wasnt expensive but i did leave feeling a little annoyed that we got such aweful service. Will be back in winter for the food and hopefully a better server.
