This was our 3rd stay at Sheraton Denarau Villas and once again a very enjoyable one. I considered all the hotels on Denarau but still feel the Villas are the best for us. I think the gardens , pool complexes, layout of the room and facilites are great. It was nice and quiet at this time of the year so plenty of room on the sunloungers and in the pool. I am pleased to see they are starting to upgrade the interiors as they are getting slightly tired but still very acceptable. Can recommend meals at Flying Fish Sheraton , Cross Raddisson , and Zing Westin but WARNING do not go near the Amalfi Italian restaurant at Port Denarau it was truly horrible. Can recommend the Jet Ski Safari, pricey but great fun for the Adreniline junkies. Did note that the prices of food and drink have gone up significantly since our last visit 2 years ago so although you get some cheap airline deals it is more costly when you get there.

Read the other reviews. Generally we had excellent service. The food was good - buffet perhaps monotonous but breakfast esp omlettes great.
They are lovely with children.
If you can - get a meal package as they may be expensive if purchased seperately.
We had a 2 bedroom villa - great as a seperate bedroom for kids and 2 bathrooms.

Great family holiday.

We stayed in a 1 bed garden villa which we could not fault, plenty of room to stay for a week with a young child. The kitchenette (although a little dated) was a great resource and even a bigger than normal fridge provides space for drinks and food etc. The garden villas are towards the rear of the property but we enjoyed the greater privacy and quiet away from the pool and ocean front. Like some other reviews we didn't have a mini bar but decided not to bother requesting anything as I always find the prices way over the top (and it probably would have created confusion with staff anyway).

The resort is very nice and the 3 Sheratons are within easy walking distance of each other so you can use all the pools and facilities. The pools were quite cold for young children but bearable enough to enjoy during the middle of the day. The ocean is much warmer but as other reviews have mentioned it is darker sand and hence quite murky water. The Westin run a free boat shuttle to a nearby island which is good short trip. The family on the island provide a little bit of 'fiji authenticity' away from westernised Denarau Is. and sell $3 coconuts etc, the boat runs every hour but you need to book prior at the pool kiosk.

We had room credit included in our deal which ended up being handy as the onsite restaurants are quite pricey. I would highly recommend purchasing the starwood card as it more than pays it way if you're planning on eating regularly within the Sheraton hotels. In regards to restaurants, Flying Fish was a standout, Steakhouse was ok (service a bit ordinary), the Wet Edge was handy for lunch and dinner (although menu becomes limited with too many visits) and the dinner buffet at Feast was good (expensive but they offer discounts during the weeknights). Couldn't complain about the breakfast buffet, everything you need, but it does feel a bit like a P&O cruise with the decor combined with everyone scurrying everywhere if you pick a busy period. The great thing about eating at the restaurants is apart from 1 restaurant (Port O Call) the dress regulations are casual/relaxed. Alcohol is quite expensive (especially wine) but the local fiji beers are more than adequate. If you're staying for a few days I would recommend buying snacks/groceries from the general store (they are much much cheaper than mini bar or room service prices). There is a bigger convenience store down at the port but the prices are no better than at the Sheraton general store.

My main disappointment with this resort was the customer service, it can be very hit and miss. We were a party of 9 with 3 young children and it took nearly an hour to check-in at 9pm. This was not a good first-up impression and surely they have an understanding of the schedule of arriving flights. The ideal of being on 'fijian time' is very true, if you let it frustrate you it will send you crazy. Everytime we went to dinner we pre-advised the need for high-chairs, regularly we would arrive and it would take half an hour of non committal responses that sorry we really can't accommodate you (this would have been fine just tell me at time of booking). At breakfast we regularly had to scrap around to get coffee, and then you had to ask for the mugs, and then for some milk. A day after checking in some of our party were advised they would have to move rooms due to ongoing rennovations, the move was to occur 2 days prior to leaving. When we said this wasn't suitable (especially with children) and why we hadn't just been given different rooms at check-in we were told to talk to the room manager the next morning. So we took the 'fiji time' principle and ignored them, and guess what, no-one ended up having to move. There were also instances of no towels available at the pools but this was more during busy periods and it wasn't too much of an issue to use room towels. Despite these and many other service issues, the staff were always very friendly and polite (.....just not very efficient in how they go about things).

The bula bus is fun (especially for the kids) but can be a bit expensive, $6 pp for all day use. If you have a few people taxis to the port are cheaper at $5 one-way.

There is free internet at the main Sheraton, it is popular during peak times. Some people complained about the web being slow but I found it more than adequate to catch up on emails. People playing games on facebook were a little annoying, it would be good if they put some sort of time limit on use during the busier times.

Go over your room bill with a fine tooth comb. There were quite a few instances of abnormal services / drinks appearing. Staff were willing to rectify but on top of the whole customer service issue it can be annoying by the end of your stay.

Everytime I go to Fiji for business trip, I always go to the Sheraton. It is located in Denarau, which could be considered the richest part of Nadi. This is an Expat area with all the 5 stars hotels. The room are big and nice, with nice pools and views on the sea. There are free shuttle going to the restaurant section of Denarau where there are good restaurants. There is also good souvenir shops, convenience stores and a golf club.

The service is ok, and you can book day trips or excursions from the hotel as well. The breakfast was also 5 stars standard with a good variety of food.

Overall I like the place for its location.
