Great trip, should have opted for the longer option, (and got kids sorted with masks snorkels etc first). Got a bit hurried at the end to catch the ferry home.

While we are working in Suva for a year, we wanted to venture off the main island to visit some of the places that are said to be highlights. Our seven day cruise took us to Levuka, the old capital, to Savu Savu on Vanua Levu, a lovely sheltered port which attracts many international sailors, to Taveuni, the beautiful 'garden island' and several smaller islands. We had the opportunity to join in cultural activities, to visit villages and wander Fiji towns as well as to bush walk, swim under water falls and at tropical beaches or to snorkel or scuba dive. We had comfortable quarters, good food and great entertainment, provided by a delightful friendly talented crew. What more could anyone want on a tropical holiday!

I will begin my experience by stating that the "Fijian Crew" are the sole reason for the success of this cruise. They are warm, attentive, calm and professionals at customer service. I spent 7 days up the Yasawas and I got every bit of my moneys worth of memories, food, culture and a bit of humanity thrown in along the way by visiting the remote Island Schools .
The meals on board are fresh and healthy, there's home made cakes for afternoon T but hey its a holiday and you will be able to snorkel, swim, walk or scuba dive the calories away. You'll get about 2 snorkeling activities/day and if you dont want to snorkel, then there's a glass bottom boat you can go on with Amos the boats Marine Biologist (super nice guy). If you have mobility issues make sure to book a room on lower deck 3,its the same level as the BAR, otherwise you will be stuck with the stairs and the lift may be out-of-service. All the rooms are the same size even the most expensive ones upstairs. Cocktails are $25fijian,there's free push button coffee and water in the bar area and Reef Room.

NEGATIVE POINTS. Gym on board is crapy, theres a Row machine a cycle machine and weights up to 5kg and that's it. There should be a Cable Machine and there as there is room for one.
There is a Dive Instructor on board that speaks sharply to customers on several occasions and is lacking in customer service skills. She most probably doesn't realize she speaks to people like that but still she needs to observe how the Fijians conduct themselves when conversing with customers. She is however extremely experienced at Dive Instruction and extremely safe especially for beginners.

The Operations Manager of Captain Cooks Cruise also was there with his partner . His behavior towards the Fijian Staff was arrogant at times and unnecessary. He should observe how the Captain treats the crew and customers.
There's a lady that sings in the bar at nights that sounds like a strangled cat. I sound better singing the alphabet whilst gargling mouthwash in the mornings.

Take the 7 day cruise you will take home wonderful memories and your heart will never leave Fiji. Enjoy your holiday guys!!! Vanaka whakalevu pics are on the way

Thanks for the lovely review, our crew do work very hard to ensure everyone has a great time and it is great to hear that hit the right note with you. The Captain's wife does sing occasionally late in the evening and is an acclaimed NZ opera singer. I'm sorry her tone was not to your taste. The operations manager grew up in Fiji and has a great report with the crew normally. He is there to raise the standards. As an ex Hospitality Manager aboard, he knows what is required very well and may have sounded bossy when conveying this to the team. Thanks again for the lovely review, I hope we can welcome you aboard again soon.

Just returned from the 4 day northern Yasawa cruise, It was excellent and would recommend. The food is great and plenty of it. The crew were just amazing and made you feel so welcome. There are activities organised every day so you never get bored. I traveled alone and it didn't take long to make new friends.
