This was a really good experience- simple, welcoming and friendly.
The owner took the time to explain everything to us.
The food was excellent and original.
The wine choice was very complete and we were advised well.
Such a fabulous idea.
A great evening.
Perfect for foodies everywhere.
Would love to go again- I only wish I had known about it sooner.

Thank Katrina L

Friends had recommended this unique restaurant to us a while ago & we had saved it up for a special occasion & decided to try it out for our wedding anniversary.
The new menu for the Friday & Saturday is posted on the Web each Monday so you can decide if the 5 course tasting set menu is to your liking.
We certainly liked the look of this & so phoned up & booked.
Everyone is asked to arrive by 7.30pm for the start of 7.45pm (hence the name of the establishment!).
There were 17 diners on that particular evening but it can seat up to 24.
The situation is in the converted stables of an old farmhouse & quite delightful.
Each course was served by two waitresses to the whole group at the same time & was so attractive & equally delicious to eat.
The wine list was really inexpensive & on a serve yourself idea from the bottles lined on one wall
Apparently, David the chef/owner gives the profit from this to Water Aide.
It turned out to be a really relaxing evening with food so expertly prepared & served.
We will return as soon as we can think up another excuse!

Starting with the negative, this dining experience may not suit everybody. It is a fixed menu of 5 courses with some extras - they will try and change anything you don't like, but can't guarantee it. Everybody sits down at once (hence the name) the food comes out on mass. Sparkling wine/champagne is ordered from the kitchen, red you help yourself from the wine racks, white from the fridge. It is a good choice below restaurant prices, and all profits from the wine going to charity along with any tips that you may wish to leave - we certainly did. We had an excellent time with some people in the party not keen on the idea of some courses, but finding that they really enjoyed them. It's British food, done simply and well. As veterans of tasting menus - you go and you try. Definitely want to go back.
