Starting with the negative, this dining experience may not suit everybody. It is a fixed menu of 5 courses with some extras - they will try and change anything you don't like, but can't guarantee it. Everybody sits down at once (hence the name) the food comes out on mass. Sparkling wine/champagne is ordered from the kitchen, red you help yourself from the wine racks, white from the fridge. It is a good choice below restaurant prices, and all profits from the wine going to charity along with any tips that you may wish to leave - we certainly did. We had an excellent time with some people in the party not keen on the idea of some courses, but finding that they really enjoyed them. It's British food, done simply and well. As veterans of tasting menus - you go and you try. Definitely want to go back.

On friends recommendations we booked a table for six, arriving at 7.30pm for our 7.45 fine dining experience. It was excellent, very reasonably priced and each course was greeted with joy by the party......its a brilliant idea but it only works because the owner and Chef (the one and same), puts so much effort into the evening. Wine is reasonably priced considering the quality you are able to buy. We left at about 11.20pm and everyone in our parts was thrilled with the evening. We will be going back again as soon as we can.

We had been advised to book in advance but when we called there had been a cancellation. This place is in the middle of no where. No more than 24 covers in what feels like someone's home. Love the chairs. Concept explained by the proprietor. No tips, decent wine at almost cost price - wine aid ( must remember this). Free flowing tap water. You help yourself to wine, corkscrew on the table. It really is informal, atmosphere really intimate and friendly. Ok, now the food - can't fault the quality, no choices other than the 5 courses, not a tasting menu, classic food - generous portions. Very tasty but not clinically presented as a commercial restaurant. Only one course not to my liking, duck needed to have the tartness from the fruit rather than blend with walnuts. Service - does the job, no interaction but not rude, just busy to make sure food delivered in a timely way. I like it and will return. So sad it's a distance. Well done for thinking outside the box and providing a quirky eating experience.

I have wanted to eat here since moving to the area. I'm sad that I waited so long. We have just had an absolutely fantastic evening at 745pm. The food was wonderful, an assortment of flavours and experiences. A great selection of wines to choose from, at extremely good prices. We will definitely be returning - and look forward to it.

Celebrated my birthday in style...Eating at this restaurant was superb...From the welcoming, through the fine food courses with the wonderful help yourself wines...25 is the capacity and it was a lovely feeling with such warm ambience...Cannot recommend this restaurant enough...Be ready for quirky dishes, be open minded and you must try even if it sounds obscure...
