Just returned from this hotel. No bars, restaurants,or night life within 20 mins of hotel. Was told by hotel staff to buy powder and wash our own bed sheets.Very boring place, nothing to do there.Waste of money.Nearest shop was 20 minutes away.Would not recommend this area of Spain.

Where to start. We went here, from Sweden, for a week of just relaxing. This hotel gives me mixed feelings. One one hand, a lot of the staff are really friendly and service minded, on the other hand some of the service and facilities are not so awesome.

First off. This is a family hotel. There are a lot of kids running around and a lot of noice. So if you are thinking about a quiet week without kids, with relaxing by the pool. Think again. This hotel is located in an area of Spain that haven't caught up with the rest of the world. There are really late habits here. Most people have dinner around 10 pm. And this hotel have a club for children that start as late as 10.30 pm! There are also loud music / water aerobics by the pool between 5-7 pm so if you prefer a bit more quiet, try to get a room with a balcony facing away from pool area.
I would say that about 80% of the guests here are Spanish speaking, and the staff as well. Not many in the staff knows any english, so If you speak some Spanish, that is a huge plus. The staff in the front desk all know some english.

The room.
The room was actually really nice. It was very spacious with two 140-160 beds and a large bathroom where shower and bathtub was separated and the toilet as well. The room was also clean and the balcony big. Really nice. The only thing that wasnt as good was that the beds where a bit too stiff/hard.

The pool area
The pool area was really nice. A lot of sun beds. If you have earlier habits than Spanish people its easy to get a good spot. We basically had the place to our selfs from 9-12 am. Nice big clean pool, and a jacuzzi. In their information they state that the jacuzzi is only for adults, but its mainly occupied by kids, all the time. And the staff/ life guards do not seem to care. The kids play and dive and jump in the jacuzzi. The pool area isnt as big as it looks on the pictures though. Its taken with a wide angled camera, but still its big enough.

They also have a bar by the pool where you can order drinks, snacks and ice cream. But they do now have any pool service, so you'll have get up and order it yourself.
There are also a lot of wasps and bees here, so If you are allergic, be aware.

Dining
This was the part that made us very disappointed. We had all inclusive, and the food was included. We got told they had two restaurants. It turns out that the two restaurants are actually are the same kitchen and staff as the Buffé, and is places in a big area in the hotel where some guests have windows, and there is also exterior corridors where guests stand and chat. The two restaurants, Italian and mediterranean are divided by a trellis ( a high plank covered with green plants). we where happily surprised, the food was actually really nice, and our waitor Manuel, was excellent. He was friendly, nice and very service minded. He made the whole stay really good and almost made up for the terrible food and service in the buffet. The buffé was not very pleasant. The plates where all dirty and sticky. The breakfast was okay, a lot of choices and freshly made omeletts. The lunch and dinner however.... Terrible. Its not just that it didnt taste anything or wasn't to our liking. It wasnt made properly. It was cold, soggy and the meat very hard to chew. We both got really sick after eating there on one occation. After that we ate elsewhere even though we had all inclusive. Also the breakfast plate you get when you have to leave early for an excursion or flight, is not very nice.

The surroundings
Its very close to the beach walk and the ocean, aprox. 500 meters. The beach is really nice. white clean sand with shallow waters. Other than the beach there isnt really much else to do. There is a small marina with some nice restaurants and some touristy shops and a supermarket. Its a nice enough place, but it takes you 30 minutes, and then you've seen it all.

One really big bummer was all the trash lying on the streets. I dont know if its the tourists or the locals, but its piles of candy rappers, bottles etc in every bush. And no one is cleaning it up. It make the nice walk along the river, a bit dull.

We will not be staying here again. Mostly because of the food and the late night kids clubs, one night they started the kids club 10.30 pm. Its noisy all the time ( except in the morning). Had we known this was a family friendly hotell with these kind of activities ( we booked through Swedish Solresor, and they had no information regarding this).

+Manuel, our waitor
+Nice staff in front desk
+Clean rooms
+Spacious rooms
+Nice balcony
+Nice, clean, big pool area
+Close to the beach
+Spa 19 € per day

-A lot noice ( loud music, screaming kids)
-Buffé was terrible
-Surroundings very dirty, trash everywhere ( not in the hotel though)
-Kids club at 10 pm
-No pool service
-No outside bar/ sitting area during the evenings ( except for the buffé). There is a few tables, but they are always occupied by people smoking
-Smoking allowed in pool area
-A lot of wasps

Room tip: If you dont like noise, make sure to get a balcony thats not facing the pool.. Dont order all inclusive

Staying here right now for 2 weeks
Big room with great view to the ocean side. Very clean. The first week the towels werent shifted wvery day byt that changed in week two
Aircon and fan in room
Hotel is a bit worn out but all area is very clean
Food is well cooked and you can taste local food
The show food is good but you should quee for it. Some people takes 3-4 pieces off meat. There should be some restrictions on that
Breakfast includes water, coffee, juice, sparkling wine etc. But breakfast and dinner there is no water or drinks included. Prices for wine is ok but beer and water is expensive
Entertainment is for spanish speaking guests and is very loud and the speakers are very bad. You should buy new speakers
Pool area is very good
Mini golf is fine but you should buy some more gear
Payment for spa is 20 euro pp - it is too mouch and the area seems very emty
All in all - good stay and value

The hotel was in a good location with good facilities and located close to the beach and about 10 minutes walk from the town centre.

The hotel is well laid out with good facilities and the bedrooms are spacious, well equiped and spotlessly clean as they were attended too every day.

The food was of good quaility with different things every day plus the drinks were reasonably priced.

The staff were very helpful and friendly which made our family stay really enjoyable.

My only small criticism was that you had to pay for the safe and the Wi-Fi which was disappointing.

Hotels are cement, bricks and little else. It is the staff that takes them who make it a home for their guests. Very close staff, friendly, warm. A very young but effective director, resolute and very cordial. A great animation team who would take me home. We have spent a wonderful week thanks to all the staff at this hotel. Of course, we will be back, but now we are going to Barcelona.
