The hotel is literally opposite the ferry port, and although you would expect it to be noisy, the ferries are actually really quiet. Perfect location as well for the town centre. As a vegetarian I had no problem getting food in the evenings. The hotel organised the transfer from the airport to the hotel, especially with having to get the ferry over, and the driver was there waiting for us. The staff were so friendly, and Maria who was the first person we met and checked us in, is impossible to dislike! The only thing that could maybe improve is the breakfast. The hot food wasn't brilliant and didn't get replenished quickly, and if you like cake for breakfast then you'll be fine. But it's probably just personal preference as I didn't starve, and the girls will provide you with as much coffee as you like.

Many hotels of Sardinia have dated rooms. Hotel Excelsior has new, modern rooms. I like the location - we took a ferry to the Palau port and the ferry stops just in front of the hotel. Great breakfast on the terrace. Sea view rooms offer great views, the garden view rooms are more quiet.

The hotel is situated in the town centre, making it very convenient with also has views of the sea. The breakfast is located by in a salon overlooking the harbour, with a long table with a wide selection of sweet and savoury food, coffees, and juices. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place.
