The Raven rooms were a great location for our stay in Yosemite. They're 16 miles from The main Valley floor and took us about 30 minutes to drive in to the trail heads that we used. I think you need to think about the distances and time involved when driving in and out of Yosemite. We didn't want to stay right in the valley because of price and some reviews. We happened across this accommodation by chance. It seems our searches of accommodation in Yosemite don't throw it up which is a shame because you could do a lot worse!
The rooms were clean, very handy kitchenette which we used to cook simple dinners after our long hikes. There's a BBQ on the decking but we didn't use it. Bed was comfy. Only minor quibble would be the bathroom. I felt it could be given a little touch up like around the bath but that's only a minor thing and I do have a bit of a thing about super clean bathrooms so it probably wouldn't bother most people. The communication with the owner and getting to and into the apartment was great. It felt homely and cosy. We enjoyed getting back there, showering, cooking and resting our tired legs with a few beers away from the busy valley floor. It's close to the turn off for Glacier Point Road so your right in the park. Some places we looked at say they're near but they don't tell you that yes they might be near the entrance but the entrance is about an hours drive to the valley floor. Staying here halved our daily drive to the trail heads. Great spot, nice and quiet, good value and a great base to see the many beautiful sights, mind blowing views, water falls, hikes and memory's that you can't fail to find in Yosemite. Thank you for letting us stay.
