My son and I recently stayed here during the eclipse so we could travel to Lusk, WY to view it.
Pros: clean and plenty of parking, laminate floors in bedrooms & bathrooms
Cons: slam latch doors and light/fan on one switch in bathrooms, pool is very small
Fresh, modern, minimalist feel to the property.
The hotel was clean, even in the middle of a renovation. The doors do have slamlatches, fyi so no matter what you can hear every other door close to you close.
Our bedroom did NOT have carpet but a nice laminate wood floor instead that felt clean, even to bare feet. The bathroom was clean, although the fan turns on when you turn the light switch on. Plenty of towels and soap and toilet paper.
The beds are hard though and there are 2 pillows per bed, not the normal 3 or 4. There are no extra blankets either so be sure to ask if you need these items.
Our room had a very small microwave and a dorm refrigerator.
You would need to drive downtown as this hotel is on the road going to Mammoth Site and not centrally located, however Hot Springs is very easy to get around in with a vehicle and good parking available, at least when we were there.
I did not see anything other than a coffee carafe for breakfast.
I would stay here again.More
