This is a lovely facility hidden in the backwoods of Wilton, CT. Open only five days a week, it is a small place with excellent old fashioned service. The food is excellent quality, served very simpl y, perhaps too simply for the fairly high prices at dinner on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Choices are OK but limited. The day we were there we were surprised to see no chicken dish on the menu. We ate Strip steak ($46) and a smallish piece of branzino (low $30$?), neither especially well presented. This is a good place, make no mistake, but we can eat equally well in a number of other local places for substantially less. A cute idea, to present you with a personal printed menu, though I think it is the same menu every one else got. But then to give it to you as a souvenir? Honestly, it wasn’t that special, and we won’t be framing t he menu for posterity.

We were invited to a farewell dinner at the School House at the end of a visit to the USA. With no preconceptions, it was a delight to find ourselves in such novel and classy surroundings. A warm welcome and excellent service impressed from the outset; the set menu was an eye-opener, though. After a surfeit of red meat on our visit, it was a pleasant surprise to find so much fresh fruit, fish and salad on offer and with the exception of the melon gazpacho, that no one liked, the meal was delicious; moreover, the excellent puddings made up for any shortcoming in the starter. Overall we enjoyed a splendid evening in a fine restaurant - thank you.

This is a beautiful, cozy little restaurant great for a nice Sunday brunch. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. It is a very small place however so be sure to make a reservation in advance since they don’t have that many tables. Service was excellent and they serve French press coffee from your own personal press made just for you. We all had the French toast on a recent visit and all agreed it was delicious! I’ll attach a photo.

Went here for anniversary dinner with my wife. As expected the food was all top-notch. I could have easily filled up on the delicious cranberry bread but was able to pace myself so we could enjoy the chocolate souffle at the end. My only dissapointment was that they did not have the cauliflower soup that I had seen in an online menu.
