We really enjoyed our stay at the Waikiki Circle. We paid more to get an oceanfront room, and were very happy we did. The view was AMAZING. It was wall to wall ocean! The rooms are very small, but have everything you need. They seem to be updated and fresh and the beds were very comfortable. There was no table/chairs in the room, but there was a desk/counter and one chair near the closet and mini fridge. A newspaper outside the door every morning. The lanai was nice except for the outside a/c units that were very loud and dripped on us. The pay parking garage was very small, but I did like the fact we could get our own car as we needed it. No pool, but who cares with a big beautiful ocean out front. Restaurants very close, ABC store next door. I'm not a frequent visitor to MCdonalds but we did enjoy the 'Hawaiian style' breakfast platter very much...eggs, rice and spam! We loved this hotel, and can't wait to return!!! Did I mention the view?!?!

Room Tip: pay extra for an oceanfront room

Have stayed at this hotel four times now and decided it was about time I wrote a review. We love the location, and price of this hotel. Yes it could be a bit bigger, yes it could have a better reception, pool ect. but for the price we don't care. We are across the road from the beach, and the view from the ocean view rooms are great. We are in walking distance to everywhere we want to go and after looking into the price of some of the other, better known hotels for this holiday it was back to the circle for us. I just couldn't justify paying that much more.

Stayed 6 nights at this hotel, Aston Circle Waikiki,it has been refurbished and is in a good location across from Kuhio beach(Waikiki extended) and the small Kuhio park ( east of "Duke statue) where on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday nights there is a free Polynesian Hula demonstration as the sun goes down and the torches are lit along the paths.Value for money, with even a bucket and spade for the children, beach towels, "li-lo" beach floats, and rings for "big kids" . Just sign for and return when finished. The only draw back is the west side is over the air-conditioning units of the buildings below, so do as we did and pay the extra for a full ocean front room above the 5th floor. Fabulous 180* views and a passing parade, people, boats, planes etc.you could sit and watch all day and night, if there wasn't so much to do. Egg's and Things is near the foyer for breakfast with a discount coupon from the hotel of 10%. Pancakes to die for. The meals are huge. Sometimes a line,(Sundays) but well worth the 10 min wait,( during the week, between 6.30 and 7.15) unless of course you are the type who prefers to get up late and then you may have a much longer line, saw 25 or so waiting, about 9am. The hotel staff were attentive to our needs, when we arrived at 10.30 am from our OZ plane, and so secured our bags till the high room was ready later in the day and sent us off to the Cheese Cake Factory for lunch. We needed to rest after that monstrous feed. Portions are huge in Honolulu. This hotel is great, in a handy location, clean, and value for money, with a very useful discount book which has most things you need, and which can be booked at their information desk in the foyer.

Room Tip: Front has less air-conditioning noise ( can't hear inside) than west- side and the BEST views.Th...

My husband and I stayed at the Circle for a week in May. We've stayed here a few times now and do so because of the fabulous location and the view from the room - has to be Ocean Front. Can't beat looking out the window when you wake up and seeing Diamond Head, palm trees and the ocean. Ahhhhhhh.

The front desk staff were helpful and allowed us to check in early (saving us having to kill time hanging around on the street after a long flight). They don't have wifi yet, but apparently it is coming. Parking was a pain, and we ended up parking at an alternative site (cost less too). The room servicing staff missed leaving coffee for us a couple of times, and took us pulling up the sheets on the beds as them already being made, therefore not making the beds. The room was clean and the refurbishment is good. Pity they didn't replace the outdoor furniture too (our glass table was badly cracked). The two double beds make the room look much smaller and an option of a queen bed only would have been good and given us more room. Double beds aren't great for two people to sleep in either, so we slept in separate beds!! (Slept well, but not very romantic!!)

Yes, you only get a room - there's no pool or bar - but the beach is across the road and you can visit any bar at any hotel you like. You really can't beat the price for the location and the view. And yes, it does get noisy, but every hotel I've stayed at in Waikiki is noisy - there are so many ABC shops receiving deliveries first thing in the morning that you really can't avoid the noise.

Didn't understand the attraction and the long lines for the Eggs and Things restaurant - food didn't look great and it wasn't that cheap. Plus it was an "Eggspress" express restaurant so there was no time to relax and enjoy... Give me Maccas with complimentary pineapple any day!

My only gripes about this hotel were the newspaper delivery person who insisted on slamming the complimentary newspapers down in front of each door at 4:30am every morning (very noisy guy) and the awful bacon smell that wafts up occasionally from the Eggs and Things on the ground floor.

I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you are staying here, you have to go an Ocean Front Room, and request one towards the top.

The location for this hotel is unrivaled. Right across the road from the beach, with many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful. They helped us out with bus routes/timetables and we were given a discount book upon arrival. You could also book tours on site which was extremely helpful. The rooms were clean as well. The negatives - while clean, the room was tiny. There were only 2 of us, but we could hardly move around. Not sure if it was just our room, but we had 2 double beds which made it very cramped. The shower/bathroom was also small. We did pay for a 'partial ocean view room', but mainly the view was of the building next door! only when you venture onto the balcony, lean over and look past your neighbors balcony could you see the ocean. Also, the loud noise from the air conditioning of the neighboring building was terrible and gave us grief while trying to fall asleep. If your main priority is location, I would definitely recommend this place. But if you after an A+ room, I would look elsewhere.
