This hotel was conveniently located right in the heart of Waikiki, across from the famed Duke Kahanamoku statue and Waikiki Beach. There were so many great shops, restaurants within walking distance from this hotel.
The hotel itself is huge, and my husband and I stayed in the tower with Regency club access. Our room was city view and was very large. I didn't care that I didn't have ocean view because as soon as you walk outside of the hotel, you can cross the street to the beach.
My biggest complaint with the hotel was the SLOW elevator. There were only two elevators in one of the towers and it seemed to take forever. With that many rooms, the Hyatt should have 4 or more elevators per tower, not just two.
For the price we paid for 7 day stay, I would recommend the Hyatt Regency for anyone looking for an average priced 4 star hotel. You can't beat its central location in Waikiki and its very easy to walk to many shops and restaurants. More
