The hotel is located very central with kust a couple of minutes walk to most shops, restaurants and the beach. The rooms were alright, very old interior, a very loud but effective AC unit, and not much isolation for sounds from the corridor and other rooms.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The WiFi didnt really reach our room on the second floor. Big minus.

My wife and I recently stayed at this central Waikiki Motel and although initially unsure we were genuinely surprised with how good our stay was.
The entire staff including reception, maintenance and cleaning were great. The accommodation, although dated, was very serviceable. In fact we slept solidly every night in comfortable beds with very little noise from outside.
We stayed for a week and noticed the extensive renovations that are under way and would possibly consider returning to see what the flash new rooms look like.

Room Tip: Manage your expectations and enjoy your stay

Yes this hotel is in need of renovation - but that has started and once completed I am sure the room rates will rise. However for now this is a very affordable comfortable hotel located right in the heart of Waikiki. The two rooms we stayed in (5 weeks apart) had everything that we needed (microwave, fridge and cooker) The bathrooms were fine and the pool is wonderful after the heat of the day. Yes it would be nice if there was free WiFI in your room but at least it is available near reception if you need it. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and I would happily recommend it to anyone wanting somewhere affordable to rest their head at night.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with pool view. No lifts to 2nd or 3rd floor.

This place is awful, there are roaches crawling on the walls, internet does not work as well as the shower and they don’t even provide you with large size towels. The rooms are run down. Overall the worst hotel experience of my life!

As a budget traveler, I'm used to dated rooms, but this one really was in bad shape. It had multiple dark stains in the shape of an iron on the carpet, the bathroom vanity was missing doors on the bottom, the bathroom smelled of bleach, the room itself smelled musty, and the shower looked iffy enough that I wore flip-flops into it. To top things off, there was Wi-Fi only in common areas. Seriously? In 2018, no Wi-Fi in the room? Ugh.

Normally I'd say you get what you pay for, but with tax we paid a good $200 for this place!

The location was okay -- walking distance from Waikiki Beach and the Ala Wai Canal, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. And we appreciated the hotel's flexibility when we needed a late check-out.

Budget spots in Waikiki seem hard to come by, but there must be better options.
