This was our pre-cruise hotel for Norwegian Pride of America. This was a very nice package deal. The check-in was a little slow, but it's island time, so no worries! The staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to pay for an upgraded room facing the beach, it had a very nice view! The key card did not work, we had to have it re-programmed. Twice. Only to find out that it was the door mechanism that was out of power. That made the wife cranky. She was able to get vouchers for breakfast the next morning, which was nice! All-in-all, it took over an hour to get into the room and get settled. The room was decently sized. The beds were ok, as was the bathroom. Nothing to really write home about, standard Marriott all around. The pool area was large, plenty of chairs when we went in the evening. There are tons of small stores and restaurants within walking distance and on the lower level, which is so convenient! The beach is directly across the street as well, there is a breakwall so you don't have to worry about rip currents. It's not very deep (waist deep when we went.) Check-out was a breeze! You just leave your bags and the bellmen get them over to the boat! So easy! That was a nice thing to have, as our party of four had ten bags total. I would stay here again, especially if doing the POA cruise.
