Right in front of the famous waikiki

Booked on a partial ocean view. The room was big enough, clean bathroom, comfy bed, and a nice view of waikiki beach. The room needs to be updated. The hotel is situated across waikiki beach and is close to everything.

This was our pre-cruise hotel for Norwegian Pride of America. This was a very nice package deal. The check-in was a little slow, but it's island time, so no worries! The staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to pay for an upgraded room facing the beach, it had a very nice view! The key card did not work, we had to have it re-programmed. Twice. Only to find out that it was the door mechanism that was out of power. That made the wife cranky. She was able to get vouchers for breakfast the next morning, which was nice! All-in-all, it took over an hour to get into the room and get settled. The room was decently sized. The beds were ok, as was the bathroom. Nothing to really write home about, standard Marriott all around. The pool area was large, plenty of chairs when we went in the evening. There are tons of small stores and restaurants within walking distance and on the lower level, which is so convenient! The beach is directly across the street as well, there is a breakwall so you don't have to worry about rip currents. It's not very deep (waist deep when we went.) Check-out was a breeze! You just leave your bags and the bellmen get them over to the boat! So easy! That was a nice thing to have, as our party of four had ten bags total. I would stay here again, especially if doing the POA cruise.

We had a beautiful view of Diamond Head and partial view of the ocean. The rooms are getting a bit outdated, but the TV screen was giant. The parking rate was ridiculous. There is a much cheaper option next door. The rooms were a bit smoky. I think people were smoking on their balconies. If you want to be in a city and close to the beach while in Hawaii, this is a convenient location.

First, and foremost: thus us a great location.
Just across from the beach, and a half mike from all the major shopping.
Our room had a wonderful view of Diamond Head. The room was quiet, an decently appointed.
Valet parking was quick efficiency and friendly.
Check in was a pain: the service agent was hard to understand. In spite of using the app to check in ( which I have used many times), she indicated it had not been used.
So we sat I. The lobby for nearly 2 hours waiting on a room.
I had to go back to ask about it. Found out the room was ready, and they did not contact me.
I get up into the room, and the app cheerfully tells me my room is ready !
Small pool and hot tub... very crowded.
Having said all that... for the money, it is a solid choice.

The location is great, beautiful views and a great breakfast buffet that will break the bank. The rooms were very outdated. Our bathroom had paint peeling off the tile and soap dish, and the only way to turn on the light in the shower/toilet area was to turn on the light in the sink area which then turns the whole room bright. Not very convenient for the nighttime bathroom visits. If you are looking for a hotel at a great location, but one that will nickel and dime you all the way home, this is your hotel.

Nice hotel in great location. Some of the rooms are quite dated but the location is excellent. Very close to all Waikiki attractions and a really nice bar overlooking the beach with plenty of options for eating very close by.
