Santa Cruz Chili & Spice
Attraction details
Reviewed 6 April 2018

The Santa Cruz Chili & Spice Shop is a unique experience. Inside the shop you'll find among the many and varied spices, pictures and memorabilia of long lost days of cowboys and ranching. You can find spices of every variety and unique things to give to your friends like scorpion lollypops. They also have local honey, BBQ sauces, salsas, dips, and more.

Stopped in for a tour of their spice store and production room. Great tour and a good education on spices and how to store them. Very clean and well run. Lots of history here. Good book selection of recipes and history of the local area. Great selection of spices as well. Get some of the Vietnamese cinnamon. It's excellent.

Small town friendly. Neighbors and owners love chatting. Enter to strong scent of chili and other spices packaged for sale. They grind and package local chili there. You'll also find many other spices from around the world. Gift shop room has cookbooks, books and little goodies. Definitely worth the stop as you pass by to Tubac. FYI the local jellies were priced the same as at the kitchen shop in Tubac.

Stopped off at this place on the way to Tumacacori Mission. The devine smell of spices hits you as you step in the door, there is all sorts of sauces here, once you try them you will be hooked.Good quality sauces with a rustic homemade feel. Staff were very friendly and helpful also..shame they done ship to Australia :(

We wanted to visit the nearby Tumacacori Mission ruin (National Historic Site), but were early, so we popped into the store just to kill some time. What an awesome place. A wonderful selection of spices, hot sauces, etc. Some snacks, books, posters. We just bought a small selection of spices to try--they're wonderful. It's now become a "must-stop" for next time we travel by.
