This hotel is off the beaten path in Buffalo. While part of the set of hotels that are in Downtown Buffalo, this hotel is most properly located squarely on the Buffalo Medical Campus. Which really means on the backdoor of the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Given its obvious proximity to Roswell Park, I wasn't drawn to this location. However, an Expedia hotel deal landed us here, and I have absolutely no regrets.
First, the hotel staff is exceptionally friendly. Chalk one up for friendly people to set your mood and expectation for a hotel stay.
Next, the rooms and common areas are generously large, comfortable, and clean. It felt spacious and relaxing. We had been planning to leave the hotel for breakfast at Spot Coffee, but opted for room service instead, which was both cost effective (read cheap and healthy by comparison) and delicious.
A few tips:
There is overnight parking across the street for $8 / weeknight and $4 / weekend. We parked directly across the street at an open meter, however. My husband had to feed the meter at 9:00 a.m., but we parked overnight for 50 cents.
Room service shuts down at 10:00 and the little store area downstairs does not stock beer or wine, so plan ahead if you'd like a nightcap.More
