I love Ethiopian and this was a good experience. Very reasonable prices, tasty food, good service. Only downside was the credit/debit card machine was not working and I was glad I had just enough cash for meal & tip.

Thank Scott G

Delicious food, good service, family friendly restaurant. We were looking for a vegetarian restaurant for our daughter and found this restaurant. She had a chick-pea stew with flat bread and she thought it was a little spicy, but delicious. I had the chicken kabobs with vegetarian rice - it was spectacular. Don't forget to bring cash, as they don't take credit cards.

We ate at Gatur's for lunch on a weekday. We found it in a Buffalo Travel Guide. The food was great but the food took 45 minutes. It is totally worth waiting. You can go for lunch or dinner. They also have Mediterranean food. We got hummus which was really good. They also have a wide selection of Ethiopian and Mediterranean food on the menu. If you go to Buffalo go to Gatur's.

A weekday lunch at Gatur's was an eminently satisfying experience. Our group of four adults shared two "combo" plates, and we had more than enough. Each plate came with at least one meat (chicken, beef or lamb) and two or more vegetables (lentils, potatoes, beets, cabbage). The efficient wait staff asked our seasoning preferences and we got "spicy." BYOB beer or wine; water and soft drinks are served. Combo plates are built on large pieces of Ethiopian flat bread (Injerra) with additional pieces served on the side. Two of us had not had Ethiopian food since 1970s Washington, D.C. While the cuisine is more common now, to find it is still a treat and we were glad we had this opportunity in the Allentown section of Buffalo.

The food and service at Gatur's was excellent. Six of us shared 2 large family style platters which was more than enough along a constant flow of fresh flat bread. Prices were very reasonable. Could do a bit more on the decor.
