Our room was spotless. Our TV would not work as the prior occupant set parental controls with a password. Sandi worked until it was fixed and was very nice about it. We could not hear the train from our room. Only downside was no in room coffee and the lobby where there would have been coffee was not open when we left about 6:30 AM.
This will probably be our new go-to Hotel in Flag. It is within easy walking distance of Historic Downtown and the Breweries.

Room Tip: Near Historic Downtown

Clean but nothing special. Slight perfume smell in the room . The heater on low is too hot. So either perspire or be chilly. No food in the morning and $ 150 for the night . Way overpriced for what we got.

Clean and comfortable, quiet, good location, not expensive. Since I need more characters I guess I'll say I stayed one quick night before leaving early early to get to the big canyon before dawn-time.

Spent one night here after a 16 day Grand Canyon rafting trip. Beds were adequate, but then any bed would have felt good after sleeping on the ground for 16 nights. Beds each had that slope to them where most people sleep- next to the bedside table. Staff should rotate mattress every so often. Bathroom is very plain and the towels are small and so thin you can just about see through them. one tiny plastic container of shampoo- one lotion and a tiny bar of soap. No coffee- two plastic cups, a small microwave and an empty fridge. Would not have stayed here but all other accomodations were booked. No shuttle and no breakfast.

Room Tip: tough call- not much to look at.

We stayed four nights and the price was fair for what was offered. Hubby and I walked from the train station (20 min.) @ 10:30 pm after calling ahead to ask if that was safe. The Inn is across the street from Northern AZ University in a neighborhood that reminded us of U of M/Ann Arbor. Henry, the manager lives on sight. He and the staff were very friendly and helpful. No breakfast is offered but great coffee was available in the lobby. Matador coffee shop is adjacent to the property with a gas station/carry out across the street on Rte. 66. Our room was on the second floor, no elevator. It was spacious & clean with a fridge & microwave. Few outlets for charging phones/tablets were available, not easily accessed since they were behind furniture that needed to be moved to reach (with the exception to the one in the bathroom). Towels were small and thin. The guest laundry was a nice surprise: $2 wash/$1.50 dry/$1 for soap (at front desk). We had an in-room phone that did not work and a malfunctioning lock on the door. Henry took care of both in a short time. Be aware that GPS directions to and from the entrance will be confusing since the driveway is so close to the corner of Clay St. and Rte. 66. To turn left to go out is nearly impossible with any traffic on the roads. Just turn right and make a u-turn in the Natural Grocers driveway, just past the HCI on Clay St. We would stay here again.
