We have been here before with friends and bigger family groups and have always been pleased. On our most recent visit, it was an early, weekday evening and it was still on the quiet side. We like the pub atmosphere and usually sit in one of their booths. There are street signs displayed high along the wall showing some of the neighborhood streets. Nice touch especially since we grew up in the area and that has a special meaning to us. We had prompt friendly service and our food arrived just when we expected. The menu is varied enough to find a dish to your liking. The fish & chips that we had was crispy outside yet the fish was moist and flavorful. The shepherd's pie was in a large dish that needed salt added to enhance the taste.
We love that this locally-owned restaurant seems to be be doing well and is expanding to include a function room. We noticed the construction work going on with an outdoor space. I'm sure that's going to be a success.
