“I miss being there already”

What a find! Just a few blocks from the central plaza in Santa Fe, El Farolito is a peaceful oasis in this beautiful city. We spent 4 nights there and enjoyed every minute. We had adjoining rooms, both large and quite comfortable and decorated in artsy Santa Fe style. (I'd love to sit in front of the fireplace in the winter.) It was wonderful sitting at our private patio after a day of sightseeing, or having a quiet breakfast there. But don't miss breakfast in the beautiful breakfast room, either. The meal consisted of a hot entree as well as fresh fruit, cereals, breads, coffee/tea, juices -- everything you could want. And coffee, juice, lemonade and cookies were available for the rest of the day, quite nice after a day of sightseeing. The concierges were lovely and knowledgeable about the area. My family absolutely loved this bed and breakfast, and we'll definitely return.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at El Farolito with our extended family and had a very enjoyable time. The layout of the Casitas gave you great privacy and had a very homey feel. The breakfast quiches and baked goods got us off to a great start each morning. Wayne and the others working there were great hosts. The location was also outstanding, about 4 blocks from the main action and sites downtown.

I overwhelmingly recommend El Farolito !!!!

My wife and I spent two nights at El Farolito and considered it to be the nicest B&B that we have stayed at in the USA. The location is ideal, only 10 minutes walk to the Plaza with all the delights of this historic, picturesque and cultured city, yet in a quiet residential area which is also easily accesible from the main highways. Our casita was delightful with every conceivable modern convenience and so, so comfortable. Dana, who looked after us was tremendous and could not have been more helpful as well as producing delicious breakfasts.

El Farolito is our absolute favorite and we have sampled many; while we adore Santa Fe and all its attributes, our annual stay at El Farolito is the element of our trip I think we look forward to the most. It is charming in all respects, the innkeepers and staff are helpful, kind, friendly and so warm and welcoming. The breakfast is - in a word - amazing!! Delicious home cooked and baked items - different each day. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and comfy; each is an individual casita and a few have delightful patios for relaxing and entertaining. Free internet; library; gorgeous art work in the rooms and common area - small, intimate and a real gem!! And it is just the right distance from the Plaza - not too close yet not too far - a nice walk. The BEST!! Enjoy!!

We chose a bed and breakfast for a more personal experience. We felt that the staff did the minimum necessary. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. The afternoon snack was stale, left-over cookies. When we requested information about local places to eat and things to see it was no better and less interesting than what we found in travel guides. There were less than a dozen guests at the b&b and I don't think they even knew our names by the time we left at the end of our four day stay. They also claim to have internet access. We were unable to get access on either our computer or theirs the whole time. Our experience left us not wanting to return to a b&b.
