This property is accurately described. It is away from the hustle of the old town square in a quiet residential area, just one block from Canyon Road and close to the Capitol building with its extensive art collection. The garden is nicely landscaped and bedding and furnishings are high quality and comfortable. Internet speed was very fast, sufficient for any purpose.
The smaller bedroom was somewhat dark and musty and for some reason all screens had been removed from the windows and stored next to the laundry machine. We were unable to operate the advertised air conditioning so had to leave the unscreened windows wide open every afternoon to cool the interior. The situation didn't rise to the level of emergency so we did not contact management to ask about the operation of the air conditioning units. The small television and sound system was very low quality and not reflective of the quality of the property.
In addition to the advertised nightly fee, a $45 "processing fee" and a $60 non-refundable "accidental damage fee" was added, along with the $175 cleaning fee and 15% in taxes, bringing the total from $295/night to $433/night for a 3 night stay. In 20 years of booking vacation rentals, this is the first time I have been charged a processing fee and a non refundable accidental damage fee. The accidental damage fee provides insurance for up to $1000 in reported damage, so perhaps some people find this reassuring. I prefer the standard refundable damage deposit, in which good behavior is rewarded.
I could have cancelled the reservation after reviewing the total but decided it was worth it to be in that location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at Marina's Casita. It is a short walk through a quiet, residential neighborhood to the galleries and restaurants on Canyon Road or to the shops and activities on the Plaza. Beautifully decorated throughout with full amenities. The open style of the kitchen, dining area and sitting room provides a comfortable place for all to share. The bedrooms are private with the master having an en suite bath while the second bedroom has an adjoining bath with entry also from the hallway. Lovely outdoor space for dining or for enjoying morning coffee and a newspaper from the coffee shop just across the street. Good internet speed.
Marina's Casita was the prefect place for our five night stay. It was just my husband and I but would be great for second couple as the 2nd bath has a door into the guest bedroom. It was tastefully decorated and well stocked. It is central to the Plaza and the wonderfully galleries of Canyon Road. We could not hesitate to stay here again. The properly management company is very easy to work with. There is lovely coffee shop and bookstore right across the street!
We spent five nights at Marina's Casita and could not have asked for a better experience. The location is a stone's throw from the fine galleries on Canyon Road and an easy walk to the plaza. We also enjoyed the new Railroad District. The casita was well decorated and stocked. It would be fine for two couples as the senond bath has a door opening to it. Very fast internet and a nice fireplace,
This is a lovely casita! Fantastic location, outdoor seating for a summer meal, beautifully furnished. You will not want to leave! Adobe Destinations makes it all quite easy and efficient.
