“Great Place to stay in Santa Fe”
Reviewed 5 March 2012

This was our first trip to Santa Fe and and we boy did we pick a great place to stay, the Old Santa Fe Inn. Wonderful, clean, and a very close, easy walk to everything to see in old Santa Fe. We stayed 3 nights and went up to Taos for 3 nights, but liked it so much that we booked our last night in NM here, instead of Albuquerque, as originally planned. They have a wonderful staff and a morning breakfast that can't be beat. All that being said, having not done much homework on what to see, do, etc., and although we found ALL of the staff to be excellent, we have to give special recognition to Michael, who works the PM shift, for being our welcome wagon, tour guide, and cookie baker. His friendliness, recommendations and suggestions really made a difference in the success of our vacation. Thank YOU, Michael! We generally stay in B&B's but the OSFI looked highly recommended so we took a chance. We loved it! DanO and Cooky

Room Tip: Our last night was a smaller room and just as nice and comfortable. Rooms off the street are quiete...

What a find, a good example of how it can be done in New Mexico. Both the exterior and reception entrance were spotless, with a warm welcome at reception from Michael, and a lovely lobby area with fire. The double room was not large, but classically decorated, lovely bathroom. As I had arrived late evening I needed to get a meal in the centre of Santa Fe quickly, which is approx 10 minutes walk away, and Michael provided a map and recommendations. Superb breakfast the next morning, in a welcoming room. Cannot fault the place, will definitely be going back to Santa Fe and the Old Santa Fe Inn.

Our first contact was with Matt at the reception desk. He greeted us with a smile and found us a fabulous room at a great rate. The room was tastefully decorated and impeccably clean. We loved the kiva gas fireplace. He showed us a map and pointed out places within easy walking distance in old town. He also showed us a place to go to watch evening sunsets. The included breakfasts are wonderful with a "make your own burrito bar". There is fresh coffee/tea available all day long and homemade cookies everyday at 4 pm. Do not judge this hotel from the exterior, but do stop and stay a while.

Room Tip: we loved room #37 -- a junior king suite with a kiva gas fireplace and a double secure entry

We stayed three nights here and my husband said it was the best breakfast of our three week trip to New Mexico. I particularly enjoyed the coffee, tea, hot chocolate and, from 4 pm onwards homemade cookies that were available in the library - it was nice to sit and chill out each afternoon and evening.

The room was lovely, very clean and comfortable and I loved the tiles in the bathroom, staff friendly and helpful and the location is great for visiting Santa Fe - no problems parking you just leave the car and walk.

Trip Advisor reviews were spot on as to the value, central location, clean and comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast. We enjoyed a two night stay and enjoyed two delicious breakfasts that included burritos with great eggs and fixings, fruit, good juice and waffles that we made ourselves. We especially liked the Starbucks coffee that they have for breakfast and serve in their lobby. If we go back to Santa Fe, we'll definitely return to Old Santa Fe Inn.
