This was a beautiful boutique hotel in downtown Santa Fe. Walking distance from everything a tourist could love (great food, shops, and galleries). The staff was very attentive and helpful. The rooms were perfectly clean and the price was incredibly reasonable. Wonderful experience and I will definitely be back.

Spent the weekend at the Hotel Chimayo de Santa Fe. This is right off the plaza in Santa Fe New Mexico, very convieniant to shopping, museums, and resturants. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Disregard the rating for the swimming pool. I hit that by mistake. This hotel does not have one.

wi fi service down, never fixed during our stay, voices carries through walls, hard to sleep, had to call front desk, icy dangerous balconies outside our door, had to call for salt, fireplace not lit in lobby, promised a fireplace room, when we checked in it was not available

Thank you for taking time to write a review on Hotel Chimayo de Santa Fe. Reviews like yours force us to see our faults and it gives us a chance to correct them, so this does not happen again. This is never how we like our guest to feel when they leave our amazing hotel. We apologize for whatever reason there wasn’t a fireplace available when you checked-in. We look forward to your return, so we may have another chance to “WOW” you like I know we can.

My wife and I spent six nights at the Hotel Chimayo de Santa Fe.

The hotel is conveniently located just steps away from the Plaza in downtown Santa Fe.

I believe we had what is considered a junior suite. The bedroom was separated from the sitting room. The sitting room included a fireplace where a staff member will gladly come and set you up with a pinion wood fire.

The room(s) was comfortable and clean. The bathroom area is quite small and there are no dressers, but there is an armoire to store your clothing.

The room had fresh new towels every day. Previous reviews complained about the threadbare towels, but we did not have any problem with the towels. The heating system is a bit noisey, but did a good job of managing the heat at a comfortable level.

The room had a king size bed which was very comfortable and had a wonderful comforter and new pillows. Plus, the room was quiet despite the hotel being full over the past weekend.

The only problem we experienced was over the weekend when the hotel was sold out. They have parking to accomodate forty six cars, but they have fifty six rooms. So, we had a car blocking us on Saturday morning going out and no parking space when we returned Saturday evening. Fortunately, the staff tries to help as best they can to avoid these situations. We gave them the key to our car on Saturday night since we had to park in a no parking area. The staff moved the car as soon as a space opened up.

In summary, we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Chimayo and would recommend it to others. You can't beat the location.

Room Tip: Ask to stay on the upper level of the rooms which are the furthest away from the lobby.
