This is a must if you are going to Salem. We went early and got right in. If you like lobster, you have to try the bisque! Very close to shopping and attractions..

Visiting Salem and this restaurant was recommended. We had excellent service and excellent food. It's not cheap but well worth the money. We had an early reservation and the restaurant seemed to fill up quickly. Highly recommend the oysters, baked haddock with linguini , and surf and turf!!! Lobster pie was perfect!
Enjoy!

First time visiting New England...wanted to stop in Salem, MA on our way up to Maine. Based on reviews, we stopped for lunch at Turners. Boy are we glad we did.

Above all, the service stands out as truly exceptional. We are Iowans, so we are very friendly and down-to-earth people. When away from the Midwest, it's always such a joy to meet servers with the same attitude--a lot of the times we are disappointed. I'm so sad I do not recall our waitresses' name, but she was absolutely fantastic! Very friendly and gave some great advice to these two cow-tippers who don't know a damn thing about seafood. Tried the "sweet and salty" raw oyster upon her advice--blown away. Had the fried clam sandwich--outstanding. Iced tea hit the spot with the meal.

Overall, I literally have nothing negative to say about this place. You have to stop in!

They aren't kidding when they say their Lobster Bisque is award winning. It's simply wonderful. Varied menu focuses on fresh seafood, but there's something for everyone, particularly if you're going for lunch. The sandwiches were very reasonably priced. Ask for the onion rings - delicious. They're not the big fat ones, they are the thin lightly battered version. Great service with a friendly staff. You can also purchase seafood to cook at home!

What a great seafood restaurant! The restaurant is in a gorgeous old building and has that one-time fish restaurant. Our server was friendly and professional. She offered insights into menu choices that were spot on for us. I had the halibut special and my husband had the finnan haddie which was a smoked haddock dish on the regular menu. Sooo good!
