I was here for a meeting, so I didn't use a lot of the resort facilities. The pool and waterslide look great (temperatures in the 50s right now) and the workout facilities were not crowded (except with machines) There were actually 3 separate rooms with exercise equipment. The rooms are quite spread out, but the paths are well illuminated so one can get around well even at night - and for those to tired to walk, the staff will take you by golf cart.

There were a couple of problems with my room, which were promptly attended to by engineering.

WiFi is included in the resort fee, and is available all over the hotel.

First time at this resort. Attending a meeting. Very nice facility and layout. Good restaurant (Azul). The staff is courteous, very helpful and friendly. I have stayed 2 nights, and am leaving tomorrow.
There has been a persistent and pervasive odor of seward in the bathroom for unit 401 in the H building. It seems to emanate from the shower stall floor drain outlet. The room fan is loud and rattles, making sleeping a challenge. I had expected more from a room rate of $289/night......

westin paloma in tucson has seen better days. Rooms are worn and tired, walls scuffed and unwashed. Rooms have a strong nursing home disinfectant smell that lingers even after the doors and air was on for hours..Bathroom has old tub and shower. Cafe in lower level of lobby has filthy carpets and food (lunch) was standard sandwich fare with slow service...disappointing .

Room Tip: beautiful views and good pool area...ask for room with a view

This is a beautiful spacious property. The facility is situated on several hundred acres in the foothills north of Tucson. The pool area is divided into seperate pools for adults and children. the on-site fitness center and spa is extremely well appointed, and the other facilities are very nice. The staff may be the best feature of this property. Extremely helpful and attentive without being intrusive. This place is a treat.

Room Tip: The rooms on the ground floor can actually be a "basement" with a small patio that looks up over a wall to the ground level. Higher floor rooms are much nicer.

Prior to our stay, we received an email from guest services, welcoming us to the resort and asking if our stay was for a special occasion. I replied that yes, it was and explained the occasion. Upon our arrival, the person who checked us in welcomed us and congratulated us on the purpose for our visit. Upon our arrival in the room, there was a personalized card and small gift - a very nice touch from a great staff. The room had a great view of the mountains and the pool area was awesome - it has 4 hot-tubs, a couple of pools, and a big slide. There are several areas for semi-private dining around the pool area. The wait staff around the pool was fast and courteous. The room itself was clean and spacious with a great view. The only negative that we noticed was that the exterior of the rooms (the stairwells and exterior doors) are in need of some touch-up. That's the only thing stopping me from giving this resort 5 stars. I'd give it 4-and-a-half if I could. The resort is very large. You may have some walking to do to get to your room and/or your car. However, if that's difficult for you, there are plenty of staff happy to give you a ride in a golf cart.
