We had a wonderful experience at The Lodge, and Case (front desk) deserves a raise! He was so accommodating, friendly, professional. The room (beautiful, clean) and grounds (perfectly maintained) are picturesque....so glad we chose Lodge on the Desert and would love to stay there again.

While the location was acceptable, near downtown, the facility itself was not what we were expecting from the website photos. The room had a distinct musky odor. The coffeemaker made tan water which was unacceptable. The lodge charged almost $4 for a to go Dixie cup--no room service. There were no fruit bowls or snacks in the lobby. The refrigerator was too small to house a veggie platter we bought at the grocery store. All things considered, we felt the room was overpriced even at the "reduced" Trip Advisor rate. We wouldn't return

What a great place to stay. The young man who checked us in was nothing short of excellent. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Our room could not have been improved upon. The grounds are well kept. The next time we're in Tucson this will be our hotel.

This is an oasis located behind stucco walls. Once inside you are surrounded by beautiful gardens and lawns. Our Room #130 was spacious, quiet, cool and clean. It was perfect. The bar and restaurant was a total delight with delicious bar snacks. The guacamole & chips were terrific.

Room Tip: Even though 130 was next to the pol, it was nearly soundproof.

The room was very nice and clean - very nice shower. We enjoyed the little patio - very private. The front desk staff were very good. The restaurant was good - but somewhat disorganized. I would come here again.

Room Tip: I would choose a room that has been re-modelled and also a room with a patio.
