“Shabby but inexpensive”

This is one of several large, older hotels in Tucson. Everything is scuffed, askew, and soiled. The maid service is sketchy--one day we had no toiletries, one day there was a big toenail clipping by the bed. We had a lot of trouble with the door to our room. Sometimes it would not open, sometimes it would not close properly. The rooms and beds themselves are comfortable enough, although the quilts are not really appropriate for Tucson weather. The creepiest part of this hotel are the elevators and walkways, which are dark and beat up. Although the rooms have been renovated, the whole place could use a big upgrade. If you get a good price, this hotel is OK.

Room Tip: If your room overlooks the pool, be prepared for a lot of screaming and partying in the evening.

Stayed in this hotel for a 4 night business trip. I was a little perturbed when I drove up, because it looked a little the worse for wear and I was traveling alone. There was no one at the reception desk (it was about 7:00 p.m.). She was helping someone in the coffeeshop. Elevators and public areas were also run down. Food in club room was awful. However, was upgraded to a suite, which was clean, comfortable and had a fridge and microwave. The bathroom was miniscule. Ate dinner one night in the restaurant - it was food, but I would not be running back soon.

The Sheraton is an older hotel that has been renovated, but still seems a little tired. Even with the renovations, the carpets show quite a few stains and could use some upkeep. The bathrooms are also tiny and the bathtub in my room had a number of rust stains in it. Beds are comfortable and the linens are clean and new. The staff is friendly and room service was good. Overall, it's a good, but not great hotel and I will stay there again due to its proximity to Tucson Medical Center, which is where I have business at when I'm in town.

Have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the years. It was renovated not so long ago, but the hotel rooms while being very comfortable, look somewhat tired already. In our suite we had two double beds which were decent. However, the bathroom is extremely tiny - You step out of the tub (in tub shower) and are right next to the toilet. Can be quite claustrophobic! There is a basin outside of the bathroom. We had access to the Club lounge but due to time constraints never got around to using this facility. The lobby area has improved considerably with lots of computers etc. Parking is self parking and free. The hotel is situated next to lots of shops and eating places which makes it a plus. There is a nice pool with lots of chairs and loungers. There is also some music in the evening which we heard from our room - but this was pleasant. On the whole, this is still a good hotel and if one can get a good rate, then well worth staying at.

This is an older hotel, so it does show a little age. The room was quiet, the refrigerator adequate, the staff exceptionally nice, the fire pits inviting, and the parking convenient. Microwaves are available for a small fee. People seemed to enjoy the pool and the fitness room was pretty well equipped. Tucson Medical Center is right next door and has a shuttle that will pick you up from the hotel, bring you to your appointment, and return you to the hotel for free. The Thai China Bistro is within walking distance and has excellent food. The Thai Beef Salad was the best that I have had. The people were personable and the service good. There is also an IHOP restaurant and a CVS pharmacy within walking distance. Note: They do charge for local calls, but altogether a very good choice and experience for us.

Room Tip: If you don't mind a balcony view of the parking lot, Rm 433 was extremely quiet, close to the el...
