I'm not sure where they spent millions renovating this place. The room itself was acceptable but dated and in need of minor maintenance. The rest of the hotel (except the lobby) was very dated, run-down looking and dirty. The bed was comfortable enough but the sheets were stiff and crinkly and the comforter weighed about 20 lbs. The bathroom was tiny, the exhaust fan was falling out of the ceiling the faucet at the sink was leaky and we had to call maintenance to unclog the toilet. The fitness room has cardio equipment only and flat, dirty exercise balls. For the $50 Priceline deal this was all ok, but full price would have been a rip-off.

this hotel is good for the price. The property is great, with a nice jacuzzi and pool outside w courtyard, but the rooms are not quite up to par with most starwood properties.

The Sheraton Tucson is by no means a cutting-edge property. But the services and amenities it offers could not be better. First off, the Sheraton Tucson is an excellent value. The grounds include a pool (outdoor jacuzzi), a restaurant, cafe in the lobby, business center, and a small conference center. As an SPG Gold member, I have been upgraded many times at this property to their Club Level suites, which include access to the Sheraton Club Lounge. Every time I've used the lounge, the food has been excellent. The cottage pie and shrimp-avocado compoté were delicious. Also, there is live jazz music by the pool on certain nights, which is usually pretty good. The club level suites are very spacious, with a king bed and pull out sofa couch in the living room. Microwaves and Mini-fridges make this excellent for families or hosting. The beds could be a tad softer, but the pillows and sheets are nice. Nothing over the top, not super glamorous, but the Sheraton Tucson is a solid retreat.

Room Tip: Any of the club level suites will suit you very nicely.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. If I were a Business traveler I would NOT stay here for sure because the property is catered to a younger crowd and families with children.

The Good:

It was quiet clean and the location was ok. The pool was really good if you have kids. The courtyard was a nice bonus, especially given the restaurant that serves pool side in the courtyard. The beds were really good as well. The in room fridge was also very helpful.

The not so good:

The property is really old and they claim it's been renovated but if that is really true they need to get their money back form the contractor. Because the property is so old there is the usual issue that there are not enough power outlets (Very annoying!!) I was not found of the layout either. It was a sprawling facility with a lage number of access points into the hotel and from a safety perspective not cool. Especially give there were bars on a lot of the business in the area.

Over all this was a decent place to live when you weight all positives and negatives.

Room Tip: If you want piece and quiet in the room don't get a room that is facing the pool area. Not sure if that is possible or not.

My parents had reserved a room for us as our Christmas present while visiting, and after reading the reviews we were quite skeptical. It turned out to be much better than we expected, albeit not fabulous. The lobby was quite lovely with lots of sitting areas and a cafe. The staff was welcoming and courteous and the grounds great. The room was spacious and comfy, although was showing signs of wear with stains on the lampshades and floor and cracks in the sink and tub. Most importantly the hotel ended up being quiet despite being located on a busy road and at the entrance to the hospital. I am a (somewhat ridiculously) light sleeper and heard no road or air traffic noise either night. There is not much insulation to the hallway, however, and I could see how in the hotter months when folks are using the pool it might be louder. Overall not a bad stay for the price.

Room Tip: Choose a room near the back facing the grounds, rather than the parking lot.
