This is a very nice hotel. It is very large, but quite easy to navigate. We parked in the self parking ($20/day) in the garage located just past the front entrance to the hotel. Valet was $30/day and quite busy. Self parking was very easy- follow the signs in the garage to the area designated hotel parking. It is a quick walk to the hotel from the garage. Check in was easy and quick. The clerk gave my daughter a backpack filled with goodies which she was very excited about. We were also informed about cookies and lemonade from 5-7 p.m. that day (very good, but only offered that one day). The room was clean-ish (a few sticky spots on cards and books, the bathroom fixtures seemed a bit tarnished). Overall it was a very nice room. We had two double beds- very comfortable and soft, but very small and I kept rolling to the center of the bed. The room was a decent size for a short stay. There was a small fridge, but it was kept at 42-45 degrees. I could not figure out how to make it cooler. I put my daughter's milk in the fridge in the morning and it was spoiled by evening. The bathroom was nice. The water in the shower took a very long time to heat up- I thought maybe we didn't have hot water! We were on the 7th floor, and I wish I had thought to ask for a "quiet" room. I understand we were in the city, but we were facing the highway and "close" to street level, so it was quite loud. The windows were not well insulated and drafty, so that didn't help the noise. There was a cheerleading competition that weekend, and there were girls running through the hallway until 10 p.m. on the first night. The hotel is connected via walkway to the mall, so that was very convenient. We went for lunch and dinner, and did some shopping. The location is very convenient to most things we wanted to do in downtown Providence. Everything was a 5-10 minute walk. We didn't move the car all weekend, which was nice. We had room service for breakfast both mornings, and it came quickly both mornings. The food was good, though pricey (as room service usually is). We inquired about the breakfast buffet at Centro, and was told it was $21 for hot buffet and $17 for cold buffet. We paid less using room service. We also got warm milk and cookies delivered one night. Room service was a treat. The pool was small but nice. It got crowded very quickly. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly. We would definitely go back, especially for a winter get away to the convention center or civic center.

Hotel is nice. Rooms are clean with nice linens. Difficult to find where to park. We ended up parking in a parking garage then we had to try to figure out where to go and where the elevators would take us.

Needless to say, the signage at this hotel is horrifically lacking. And this doesn't stop once you get into the hotel. Everything is so difficult to find. There are certain elevators for certain floors....so confusing. Staff seems to be as clueless as the guests.

Providence Place mall is directly connected to the hotel. We arrived late and we were starving and Villa Italian Kitchen was more than willing to accommodate us. We order on the phone and walked across the indoor bridge to get our dinner.

We would stay here again just try to figure out the check-in location before you arrive.

Hotel is nicely located with indoor access to the Providence Mall. Many restaurants to choose from within walking distance of the hotel. Hotel bed and room were very nice and the room was clean. Great place to stay and rest.

Hotel is nice. Staff is friendly. Room was mediocre at best. Nothing was updated which was no big deal, except everything was dingy and dirty. HUGE hairball in the shower drain, stained comforter, fridge didn't work, stains/dirt all over the chair, no TV signal for ABC, CBS or NBC. Decorative pillows were gross, didn't even want to touch them to move them off the bed. Outdated is fine, dingy is another thing. Windows were paper thin and we could hear all the traffic outside even though we were high up (didn't bother us but it was loud. Might be hard for some people to sleep) Pool was tiny, but really appreciated staff who made sure rules were followed as there were some unruly teenagers that were disruptive and unsafe, and staff quickly put a stop to it. Hotel is connected to the mall which was nice, and right in downtown.View was wonderful. Would stay there again but only after they replaced the dirty items in the rooms.

Room Tip: Ask for an updated room

Lovely hotel. I would stay there again. Excellent food at Centro's and Flemming's. Adjacent to the Rhode Island Convention Center. Easy access to and from the airport. Beds and linens are of high quality.
