Food wise Crescent City doesn't have a lot to offer. Perlitas offers honest, well-made food at fair prices. Their chicken mole enchiladas were great, very intense mole sauce that was wonderful once I stirred in some of the sour cream. Great salsas and chips also. I will stop here again next time I pass through Crescent City.

As it was getting late for dinner we chose a restaurant that had good ratings and close, so went to Perlita’s.
The just managed to squeeze us in the place was packed, mainly locals always a good sign of good food.
Not having eaten much in the way of Mexican food we put our selves in the hands of our waitress. We were not disappointed food was fantastic but could remember the names and I did,t take photos of menu.
Great place to eat but not a place for a quiet dinner.
Highly recommend this restaurant.

The service was fine and they were fast but the food wasn’t anything special. Prices were reasonable. My burrito was huge, and the shell of my taco was fresh and crispy. We got churros for dessert. Everything was good, but again it was nothing special.

I read a lot of reviews about this being great, authentic Mexican. If you mean it is cooked by Mexicans, than perhaps. Is it good? Not really - it is average at best. Let's start with the pros of Perlitas:
1. It's quite inexpensive
2. The beer is cheap!
3. The flour tortillas are outstanding.

The cons of Perlitas:
1. average food at best
2. "Standard" Mexican fare without the Mexican flair.

If you are tired of eating seafood and need a change of pace, stop in. If you are looking for cheap eats, stop in. If you are looking for good food - try someplace else.
