What a wonderful view after a long day of uphill hiking. The line to load was sort of long, maybe 30 minutes or so, but nothing outrageous. About 50 people on the tram which made it crowded but not awful. I've been on trams for skiing where the workers literally pushed everyone on and then closed the doors. This was not the case.

What a beautiful way to learn about the area, the environment, the wildlife and the flora and fauna that are all native to New Mexico. It is the perfect spot to watch the sunset at night, just a spectacular view.

Until 4/12/2018. Check their website for details.

Meanwhile - - check out Tinkertown for fun and laughter. It’s on the way to the Sandia Peak.

The drive to the peak and views from the top are spectacular!

Wonderful ride in a tram car up to the base of Sandia Peaks. It was very cold on our trip so we didn't stay outside for long, but it was beautiful. Be sure to ask the operator about the TWA plane crash many years ago, you may even see some debris. It is a sad story, but part of the mountain tale.

Thank you for a great review! Many don't know about the crash so great advice about asking for more information. It is a part of the mountain's history.
