Our children's food came before the appetizers. Salad came after the meal. Evidently, they were picking the tea in China because refills were very hard to come by. Calamari was over cooked. Squid was indistinguishable from burned breading. They gave us another appetizer. It took forever to get food and it was not packed. First bad experience at this restaurant; other times were good. i hope it is not a downward trend.

Great authentic Italian food, nice atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff. They were almost ready to close early when we arrived but they stayed open to accommodate us without any limitations on what we could order.

Attended a private party event. The tables were all ready with cutlery & napkins.
The banquet manager (I neglected to get his name) was on site before guests arrived
to help with anything we required (such as placement of a photo in a frame). Large variety of menu items. We ordered the vegetable pizza which was baked on a pizza stone & had tons of vegies & delicious crust. The house salad was good size with a very tasty Italian dressing. This is real Italian cooking, folks, & I can speak with freeness of speech being Sicilian myself.

Just a single visit and I have little dining experience in Brownsville, so take this review with a grain of salt. However my experience was only so-so.

Arriving about 6:30, immediately after I sat down two workers with cordless screw drivers started screwing tables together immediately next to me. Very annoying, but it did only last for 5 minutes or so. Couldn't they have done this prior to the dinner hour?

The pizza was ok, nothing to write home about IMO. The crust was a bit crispy but lacked some chewiness. Toppings reasonable quantity and quality.

Salad included with the pizza was iceberg lettuce and canned olives. At least the lettuce was fresh.

Service was fine and fast, house red wine a reasonable price and very drinkable.
