When not enjoying the beach, Padres or not. This is the other thing to do? WW vessel that win wars. Many decks and corners to explore, free to touch and feel. Will take many, many hours to experience first hand life as a sailor. Parking is across the street, pay at gate, less than twenty dollars. Gift shop is full with stamp and coin to collect. There is also a 3D video of the US Navy, which I have forgot the content/message.

Note: Captain dining room and bunk bed have a spooky feel and ninety smell to it. Many fake planes on deck.

I have been to the Lexington numerous times and always enjoy the trip. I find something new on each visit. I recommend this for people of all ages. History means more when you can walk on it.

We decided to visit this great aircraft carrier in spite of the 30 knot winds. It is a good thing it is mired in 15 feet of mud so it doesn’t move. The history and displays are incredible and really give a flavor of the critical importance of the navy in World War II. There is a thirty minute three-D movie that is wonderful. It shows exercise RIMPAC. I had never heard of this biennial naval exercise.

If the computers had been working, I would have given this 5+ stars.

The Lexington played a key role in the War for the Pacific. It's a wonderful.place to visit for a little sense of WWII history. There are 5 self guided tours, all included in the price, as is the 3D theater. Each tour gives a different view of WWII and life aboard an aircraft carrier.

Well worth the price of admission.

Excellent place to take the family, or just visit on your own. It's a great military history right in Corpus Christi.
