Magnificent artifact. Terribly important history. The Lexington ship itself is a treasure, but there's so, so much more!

History of WWII, it's equipment, and it's brave, brave men. The aircraft on the flight deck-- although modified for public display-- is still breath taking.

But inside each 'tour' route is a treasure of details on living and working on a US Navy ship. There's priceless artifacts from so many more WWII ships...

Our family found a mini theater deep in the ship with an automated video presentation of the pursuit and capture of the German U-boat U52--- and we realized we had already toured THAT submarine at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry!

Family visiting me from out of state love this attraction. the experience of being ona genuine ship and all the explanations and description of each item is very convenient. You just feel like you are walking through the same areas that servicemembers assigned to the ship walk through during the LEX's service time. Just neat overall

Plan on spending at least a few hours so you have time to see everything before they close. My kids really enjoyed this as well!

We took our Cub Scout Pack for an over night experience of a life time. Our group of 55 people had dinner, and breakfast the next morning, aboard the Lady Lex. The food was good. The museum had attractions that interested EVERY single person in our group. The downside? They separated the Males from the Females during the night for sleeping quarters. Most of our group understood that this is a Navy Vessel and that while we were aboard, we were to follow the Navy guidelines.

Ton of stairs involved! So wear no-skid good walking shoes when you go!
