If you are ever in Salt Lake City, this is the one thing that you simply cannot miss. It is one thing to hear this choir on a recording, but it is an entirely different, and even better experience in person. They rehearse every Thursday evening from 7:00-9:30 p.m., and the rehearsals are open to the public starting at 7:30 p.m. If you are in town on a Sunday, you can stop in to watch a live performance of the choir's weekly radio and TV show called "Music and the Spoken Word." If you're lucky enough to get tickets to one of their major concerts (like at Christmas), count yourself blessed, because there are only 21,000 seats in the auditorium where they sing, but there are literally over a million requests for tickets. You don't need tickets or advance reservations for the rehearsals or Sunday shows, but you will need a ticket for the larger performances. But don't worry. Even that is a bargain, since all tickets are free of charge! You just need to find one. To do so, keep an eye on the choir's website @ mormontabernaclechoir.org.
