Everyone should take a ferry once in a lifetime , however once is enough ! Like I said in the title , people with barking dogs , people with luggage , sleeping stretched out across a entire bench seat built for 4 people , dirty restroom's , employees who would rather be anyplace else than where they were , that being said , it was the quickest way to get from Port Angeles to Victoria BC , I'm glad we went , We did have a great time in Victoria once we were there , I had to laugh, , , , they are STILL using an OLD Bing Crosby singing commercial from the 1940's to promote the Ferry Line , I guess they just about got their money's worth out of that piece of history.

The Black Ball ferry is available several times a day to and from Port Angles WA and Victoria BC. It has walk on and car carrying capability. On can take a day trip or extended trip to Victoria, returning on a different day. The ship has comfortable seats, ferry type food, and a store to buy light coats, books, etc. On my last trip on the Black Ball we say whales sounding in the Strait!

Visiting from Michigan and wanted to go to Victoria British Columbia. The ride was so enjoyable! And the times of departure we're convenient. Also they have a gift shop and a small deli for food and drinks.

Loved the entire trip!

Recently went to Victoria from Port Angeles via the MV Coho with Black Ball Ferry Line. What a perfect day we had - 70 degrees, unlimited visibility, and calm seas. Saw several seals and a dolphin on the way. Met and chatted with people visiting from all over the US and Canada. Very reasonably priced at $18.50 each way per person for a 90 minute trip. Highly recommend this for a nice day or overnight trip.

The ferry to Victoria is on time, reliable and well organized. It was easy to book online and they had our tickets waiting for us at the office.

It is a no-frills ferry. The wi-fi only works for part of the trip.
