We decided to try Biscuits & Blues due to various reviews and recommendations. Sadly, our experience was not good. We arrived close to 2:00 in the afternoon and had to wait several minutes before a table was cleared for us. No big deal but the staff did not seem happy to be there nor happy that we were there. After being seated we had to wait almost ten minutes before anyone offered us a water or asked to take our order. We actually thought the wait staff might not be aware we had been seated. She brought us our menu (no greeting or smile), later took our order (still no smile). I ordered the oyster po-boy, my friend ordered the shrimp po-boy. Our waitress brought us two beautiful biscuits after taking our order. The biscuits? Well let me just say something was wrong with them. They actually had a rancid taste that just stayed with you. We mentioned to our waitress that she might let the cooking staff know they should try one in the back because we suspected that something in the biscuits had gone bad. She looked at us like she didn't believe us and that it was just a matter of personal preference. We were happy to have a gentlemen in the table next to us tell the waitress that his daughter had said the same thing, something was wrong with the biscuits. She didn't apologize, didn't offer to get a new batch of biscuits, didn't offer to get the manager. Really didn't seem interested at all in what the had to say. When she brought our food we asked if the cooking staff had tried a biscuit in the back to see what might be wrong. Her comment? No they are just making another batch. We were rather surprised. Sure hope they didn't use the same ingredients. We suspected the shortening had gone bad.
Needless to say, our po-boy's were not very good. Only 4 shrimp on the shrimp po-boy and very few oysters on the oyster po-boy. Of course, the flavor of every bite of food still had that hint of rancid taste from the biscuits. So I have to ask? Was it just an off day for this place? Must be, but we won't be going back.

Wife and I shared a garden salad. It was plentiful and good, with the extra bonus of delicious okra croutons. My grilled shrimp in a cream sauce with rigatoni was also very good. Only reason for not giving a four stars was my wife's complaint that her po' boy was not very good. The venue is spacious and attractive and located in a 130 year old building that started off as a boarding house. Staff is friendly. I would return and recommend this restaurant.

The staff was friendly, but the service was pretty slow and they weren't even that busy. The food was a lil above average. We would go back if we are ever that way again.

The B&B salad with fried oysters and fried okra croutons was very good, as was the fried catfish. We did not care as much for the sides or would have given a higher rating. Also, several items were advertised online that were not available for lunch when we were there

In downtown Natchez, not far from the river, B&B is good for lunch when walking about--more popular in evenings when there is music. The gumbo is exceptional. Biscuits too. The bar is well stocked and the menu is broad. Atmosphere is pleasant.
