My husband and I ate here on Sunday 8th April. The food, drinks and service were so good we came
back on the Tuesday evening. On Sunday evening my husband had Braised lamb shank, Belgian Endive, Pecans, Apple Cider Vinegar, Smoked Cheddar Pearl Tapioca. He thought it a bit odd having tapioca with lamb, however he said it worked. I had the Pan-roasted local sole Haricots Verts, Almonds,
Capers, Lemon with Tartar sauce, which was delicious as there were no carbs. We had the car and neither of us felt like an alcoholic drink so I decided to order the Cucumber Limeade and my husband had the Pomegranate lemonade. They were both very refreshing, especially the cucumber limeade.
On Sunday we decided to walk the short distance from our hotel so that we could enjoy some wine from the wide wine list. We asked for some advice from our waitress and went with her recommendation,
River Myst, Cabernet Sauvignon, Anderson Valley 2014, it turned was the perfect accompaniment to our bacon wrapped petit fillet mignon with Potato-fennel Gratin, oyster mushrooms in a red wine sauce.
Both waitresses were excellent, we didn’t get our waitress’s name on Sunday evening which is such a shame as she was the most professional waitress I have ever had the pleasure of being served by. We made a point on Tuesday evening of asking our waitresses name. Christine knew her stuff and looked after us well. She was great fun and a real asset to the Roadhouse.

Our family had a birthday dinner at this over-priced establishment and I'm unsure 'why' it continues to receive raving reviews!
First, the prices are quite expensive....$25 entrees and everything a la carte, including limited valet parking.
I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and could have had a tastier version at Marie Callendars for 1/8 the price. The pot pie wasn't all that 'tasty' or delicious...just 'so so' with gloppy filling of mushrooms/chicken, celery and other items you could not see due to the dim 'atmospheric' lighting.
My companions ordered fresh sword fish (ok), Bacon wrapped filet minion (arrived raw) and probably about 4oz worth. And skirt steak (arrived barely warm and tough meat).
While the service was very high end, we didn't feel the food (and how it tasted or arrived), was all that spectacular and the prices are steep for just 'regular' type stuff.
Please save your money and avoid this establishment.

This is such a lovely place! Everything was delicious and service was amazing. For a very casual feel, eating at the bar is perfect. For something special, the dining is perfect, It's done in a historic 1930's style. Anything you order from perfectly prepared filets, chops and salmon to house-smoked beef brisket with horseradish mashed potatoes, quail and chili-lime brick chicken is prepared well. This is a must.

A new favorite . We have had many great meals here. Dining room, eating at the bar. Finally made Sunday brunch and ordered a favorite of ours. This may have been the best we have had.

I can't believe that I haven't written about the Buckeye before this! Family dinner for my Dad's Birthday so 9 of us overall. We had a table upstairs but I've eaten at tables here all over; especially cool is near the stone fireplace! If making reservations (recommended) ask if that area open to sit!
Well known for meats, specialties and such. Since it was Brunch I still went with my Eggs Benedict fav thing but with a twist. BBQ Shredded Pork on top, still finished with hollandaise sauce. Amazing and very rich so you could share a little.
The food ordered was all over the map: veggie burger, eggs scrambled with fun ingredients. Buckwheat Pancakes with Huckleberries (who has that anymore!) & of course someone had to get a Dungeness Crab Salad.
Only Valet Parking so bring a $5 or so cause those people are fast and efficient. Parking on road if you don't want to deal with it.
The bar is great and they have so many festive cocktails specials (all $13) you have to try at least 1. I had a Pirates something with coconut creme, pineapple and rum. Everyone had something different, all great (and my sister a cocktail aficionado, blogger and recipe person).
Our server was really, really attentive & brought a great big Toasted Meringue pie- wow. Perfect.
I have had many dinners here, you have to get something Meat; it's smoked there, they are well known for it and it's always worth it. Wide variety of people and types of dress but I'd go nice casual and bump it up a little for dinner.
I call this my "splurge restaurant" and it never dissappoints!
