The Grove. A first class meal was eaten, was well served all at a reasonable price. We will come again.

Thank you, Andy, for your review.
We are very happy to have found what appears to be a winning formula with our early bird menu, the point being that not everyone welcomes a night out dining as more of an experience, and are just after something to eat.
We look forward to welcoming you again.
Chris

We were intending to eat at the nearby Amber restaurant in the Country Club but did not think the menu was very exciting.Walking down the road we discovered the Grove.

This is an elegant old country house with a charming interior which at night has a lovely, calm ambience. The food is simply superb. We both had Fresh Hake which was beautifully cooked and served with "popcorn" cockles - small cockles fried in batter which complemented the hake perfectly.

For dessert I had Banoffee pie which was probably the best Banoffee pie I have ever had. That is some compliment because we used to dine in the Sussex restaurant that first invented it!

Several other diners we spoke to also said that the food quality was outstanding.

A real treat and not too expensive. Highly recommended.

Thank you for reviewing us. We are very lucky with our location, I'm glad we could provide everything that you needed.
We do keep our restaurant menu short as we cook everything to order. For future reference, if there is nothing on the menu that suits you, we are always happy to drag our chef up to have a chat about finding something will suit.
Many thanks,
Chris

Came out for a quiet relaxing evening, menu looked promising. Food was just OK, presentation was ordinary. Crab main course was the same as the starter but with some potatoes and veg! We had a relaxing evening though.

Hi Sandy thank you for your review.
I'm glad you had a relaxing evening, which is one our boxes ticked. It looks like we didn't excel your expectations on this occasion, which is what we aim to do.
I hope we can welcome you again.

Thank your for your review,
You may be interested to know that we are on the verge of extending our wine menu a little by working directly with a Tuscan vineyard, who produce some fabulous reds.
Many thanks,
