“Great stay in a lovely large house with everything we needed”
Reviewed 19 November 2013 for a stay in November 2013

We enjoyed a long weekend at the Granary this November. It was everything and more than we expected. Our ages ranged from 10 to 80 and we all had a great time. It is the ideal place for a large group and there was plenty of space for us all. The games room was a real hit, we enjoyed the wood burning stove and all sitting round the table for meals was great. The beds were comfortable and everywhere was nice and clean. The extra touche of balloons etc was a really nice suprise and much appreciated. We had a bbq on the beach, fish and chips at No 1 in Cromer, a night at the end of pier theatre, a wander around Cromer and a lovely walk to the beach (and cafe) and back. The local pub was welcoming and friendly too. The village was quiet, friendly and very dark at night - the stars were amazing. Thank you for a lovely stay.

“Amazing property ideal for all ages”
Reviewed 9 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Lovely spacious property with everything you need for a good holiday. Plenty to do even if weather not too good - games room, board games and books for all ages. We had a really good holiday with extended family aged 8 months to 76 years old. Lovely to have somewhere big enough for us all to stay together although ample opportunity for people to have there own space if wanted. Ideal base for many tourist attractions. We did 2 National trust properties, Boat trip to the seals, Crabbing at Blakeney and swimming and ball pit for the little ones. The nearby pub - The Foundry was friendly and served good food. Everything was made very easy for us by Fiona with her prompt communications.

Thank you for reviewing your stay at the Granary. I am delighted to hear you all enjoyed your stay, despite the weather. I am also glad to hear you enjoyed many of the wonderful places to visit in the area and braved the elements to see the seals. Given the high winds earlier in the week, I am surprised they didn't end up in Norway! Good to hear the new managers at the Foundry are doing well too. Thanks again

“Fabulous House”
Reviewed 7 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We stayed here with a group of friends as part of our annual girly get together. We have rented many houses over the past few years and this one was by far the most spectacular. Not only was it very tastefully renovated, we loved the internal flintstone walls!, but it has a very homely feel to it and felt comfortable from the moment we walked in.

All the bedrooms are a good size, even the attic rooms, where I ended up sleeping, were really cosy and all the beds really comfortable. I loved the little en-site bathrooms tucked into the eaves of each of the attic rooms.

The kitchen is well equiped, and fantastic for socialising whilst cooking as has a huge dining room table at one end. The living room is enourmous, and we all made full use of the games room next door as well. There is even a dressing up box in the games room. This house has lots of space so even if there is a lot of you there is always somewhwere to disappear to. The little upstairs mini lounge is great for sitting reading on the chaise lounge. The local pub, The Foundry, does good food and is very friendly, so you can always disappear round there as well.

The house is only a couple of miles from Cromer so is really well located. It also has good wifi which for us was inportant as non of had phone reception in the house. This is great if you want to be cut-off from the world of course, but for those of us with families/partners at home the wifi was perfect for staying in touch. You can get phone reception down the end of the drive though!

I would definately highly recommend this beautiful house for either families or a group of friends.

“Fantastic house & location”
Reviewed 1 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Fabulous large clean house in a great village location. Booking & dealing with the detail was very easy. Plenty of information on the house, surrounding area and other helpful pieces of information were issued without request making the booking process really easy.
The friendly village pub was a winner, serving great food and plenty of local ales too.
The nearest sandy beach we found was located in Overstrand.

We would absolutely recommend you book & utilise this property NOW

Many thanks for both reviewing and recommending the Granary. I am so glad you enjoyed the location too, we spent 2 years looking for a property that ticked all the boxes, so it is good to know it is appreciated. Good to hear all is well at the Foundry too. They have a great knack of making our guests feel like locals. It isn't everywhere where you can drop a credit card in the loos and still get it back....but this is one.

“The whole family were happy”
Reviewed 17 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We came as a group of 11, ages from 8 to 83. The oldest remarked how comfortable and clean it was, enjoyed the garden. The youngest, I have been told, didn't want to leave. Thanks for being the perfect place for an extended family break.
