If you are looking for a quiet place to be in the sun this is the place.
The apartment is lovely and spacious with a large balcony and patio furniture. There is Wi-Fi and TV if you need it, A small kitchen with large fridge which has a nice freezer compartment to freeze drinks etc very useful. You probably won't use the kitchen much as it's very cheap to eat out, the locals are very friendly and always happy to see you. If you do need to self cater there is a good supermarket about five minutes away called Migros. They have most things you would need on holiday. The bottled water is no problem as a local shop deliver it for free, we bought 20L & it only cost £1.50 and it was delivered to your door within the hour of ordering!
The pool is lovely and cleaned every day, we never saw anybody else use it so you have it pretty much to yourself in May.
The nearest beach is approximately 10 to 15 minutes walk away, where you can hire Sun loungers and umbrellas for the day really cheaply. The sea is quite clear and there are small fish, not too rocky quite sandy. It is between private beaches so don't stray too far!!
Avsallar is a small town just a few miles from Alanya which you can get to on the local air-conditioned buss very cheaply about five Turkish lire one way (c. £1.25).
We went on a few trips out which were lovely and most of them don't cost very much at all. There is everything from boat trips, Turkish massage to longer excursions.
There isn't much for kids to do here as it's more of a quieter town, but if you're looking for A week or two in the sun to chill out give it a try.
