Budget hotel but exceptionally clean and comfortable. The owner and his family were very friendly and helpful. . Room was air conditioned . Parking was not a problem as the hotel is just off the Main Street . Easy access to the port area being a 5 min drive away.

Travelling through Spain by car looking for somewhere to live. Booked into the Guillermo and turned up to find it shut?? Eventually, due to our lack of Spanish we found the button to call the owners. Hahahaha. Oh what a lovely authentic Spanish hotel and the owners couldn't be more friendly if they had lessons. Wonderful evening talking and explaining what we were doing and a wonderful exchange of life experiences. The surrounding village is wonderful, full of life and laughter, if you can be bothered to go out after 8pm that is. Well what do you expect, this is Spain you know. The hotel is beautiful, an absolute gem.

Room tip: The front of the hotel has little balcony's to watch the world go by.

This 2* Hotel is located in a side street in the Mazarron Town Centro. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was quite spacious as was the bathroom, both were very clean in fact that also goes for the Hotel itself. The double bed was very squeaky and if one turned over could not avoid disturbing the other. One could clearly hear the conversations of persons in the adjoining room as well as other acts. The street also had moments of noise during the the nighttime but obviously no blameworthiness can be attributed to the hotel. The Restaurant & Bar areas are quite nice and the food reasonable. Struggled to find other decent eating places in the Town, but we took a Taxi (10€ each way) to the Port which is quite a journey, where there are several very good Restaurants. Would we stay there again - possibly if staying in the town. Have previously stayed in another Hotel in the town however the rooms were not as good as the Hotel Guillermo II

Room tip: Room 101 - Street side

Hotel Guillermo ll is a 2-star budget hotel located in Calle de Carmen off the main thoroughfare running through Mazarrón. (Signposted from the main street).

A very small reception area at the bottom of a flight of stairs which consists of a desk & key "drop off" box & a selection of attraction pamphlets.

Rooms quite spacious with black & white chequered tiled flooring. Walls appeared recently decorated. Twin beds & flatpack-type furniture, built in wardrobe, bracket wall mounted TV & air conditioning.

Mattresses very hard & only one pillow per bed which did not promote a comfortable nights sleep.

Nicely appointed fully tiled bathroom with bath & shower there over, plastic shower curtain, bidet, toilet & large wash basin with good water pressure, except for the toilet flush which was very weak.

Good quality fluffy white towels. Sachets of shampoo & a couple of small bars of soap, but no liquids. If shower gels etc are preferred, then one will need to supply their own.

Free WiFi but the signal appeared weak & kept "dropping in & out" thus losing connection.

I did not see a lift (elevator) only stairs.

There appears to be no ground floor rooms - accommodation starting from the 1st floor, therefore probably not disabled friendly.

Attached to the hotel is a nice bar/restaurant, (open to non-residents). Flatscreen wall mounted TV, feature brickwork to the walls, wooden panelling to dado height. Well stocked bar, offering a selection of spirits, soft drinks, a draught beer & a selection of coffee's.

Several tables well spaced all set with tablecloths, cutlery & glassware.

The bar/restaurant has a ramp for wheelchair access & is disabled friendly.

Restaurant toilets are clean, tidy & fresh smelling. Sunken oblong sinks with granite counter top & shelving & a large mirror. A peculiarity: The urinal is housed in the cubicle along with the toilet!!

Evening meals served. Did not view a menú or dine here so cannot comment on the quantity or quality of the food

Continental-type breakfast consisting of toast, butter & jams, (or with olive oil & tomato), tea or coffee & freshly squeezed orange juice is served at table.

Staff are pleasant, polite & efficient, though service with a smile wouldn't go amiss. Spanish spoken, but a little bit of English too.

This is clean & tidy, short stay, budget accommodation which I would use again if in the area.

However there is no hotel parking, only on street parking (side streets) which is difficult to secure.
