We stayed for four nights and enjoyed impeccable service and a comfortable room overlooking the garden. So pleasurable to look out the windows in the morning to see this view. We did look at some larger rooms, but we loved the view.
We were given excellent advice about what to visit in the area and where to eat at the local restaurants. And we had delightful conversations with the staff too, about local history and worldly issues.
They are a multi-talented team!
It is more of a large mansion house than a hotel. It is one of the 'indianos' mansions, beautifully renovated. Including an elevator.
The breakfast is a combination of table service and buffet. A grand selection of breads, cheeses, meats and cakes/pastries, with freshly squeezed orange juice and a choice of egg dishes. And no rushing. We enjoyed long, late breakfasts.
The comfortable lounge/sitting areas and meals area are all on the ground floor. When we weren't out and about we relaxed in the lounge/sitting rooms. It was so nice to come back either after a meal out or an afternoon out and sit with a drink or pot of tea with fresh cake! And the quiet classical music playing was a lovely touch, and the candles at night.
Just felt like home :-)
We would highly recommend staying here. An excellent base to visit Aviles, Oveido, Cathedral Rocks, Cudillero, and coastal beaches.More
