You know the saying "the hotel is not the destination"? Well, Hotel Miba is the exception. We and two friends stayed there during one of the wettest, coldest March periods the costas have ever had, but it didn't matter because we were in such lovely accommodation.

The bedrooms are spacious, well-appointed and stunningly decorated. And the views through the floor to ceiling windows are superb - farmers' fields, hilltop castle and the Med. Good big terrace too, not usable in the sort of weather we were having, but next time.......

The owners and staff are exceptionally welcoming and helpful.

Our only regret is that we stayed when the restaurant wasn't open. Judging by the standard of the breakfast it should be quite something!

Wonderful small hotel with a spledid view over the old town, the Alcazar and the Mediterranean sea. The room was very spacious and comfortable, tastefully equipped. Everything was clean and inviting. The staff was friendly, accomodating and relaxed -thoroughly pleasant.

Salobrena is perfectly situated for trips in the region east of Malaga. The town of Salobrena itself is charming with an old Moorish settlement with an Alcazar on top of the hill.

The restaurant is ambitious - and lives up to the ambitions. The daily menues are delicius and comes on the table visually very neatly arranged. The breakfast is very good value - including several kinds of fresh fruit.

We had booked 5 nights but prolonged the stay with further 3 nights. We wil certainly come back.

Room Tip: All rooms have the same splendid view.

What a spectacular hotel ! We had The Queen Suite for a night, fantastic views over Salobrena and coast when taking a relaxing bath with a glass of Cava.

The outside terrace with sun loungers and table and chairs was devine !

Forgot to pack a DJ to pretend to be 007, maybe next time !

Room Tip: All rooms have fantastic views !

Fabulous hotel perched above Salobrena with stunning views over the bay and to the castle. At night time the castle is illuminated and is delightful to look at whilst dining in the restaurant . Rooms are very spacious and well equipped with large balconies giving a panoramic view across the town, the bay and as mentioned above the castle . Very friendly staff and very hospitable owners. Probably one of the best value for money hotels I have ever stayed in. Cant wait to go again .Oh nearly forgot to mention the rooftop pool , fab.

Room Tip: All the rooms at this hotel look awesome

Stayed for a very relaxing week at this fabulous hotel. The room and bathroom were very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The view from the balcony over the sea and the small town of Salobrena with its Arab castle, was spectacular.

The rooftop pool was a wonderfully peaceful haven.

The breakfasts were great, plenty of choice and the quality of the cuisine in the restaurant was truly excellent.

The globe-trotting hosts and their son were always warm and friendly.

Old Salombrena, a 15 minute walk to the centre, is a maze of narrow streets on the side of the hill with a few bars but above all the Arab castle with amazing views. "Modern" Salombrena, a slightly longer walk, is not remotely attractive but does have some good fish restaurants including El Penon and Biznaga. The caves and busy resort of Nerja are a half hour away.

Overall this is a wonderful place. Hard to find fault with anything so I am not going to try!

Thank you Ava Martin and Sebastian.
