Having wanted to stay in a cave house to years, I finally got to go with Hubby and SO glad we booked 'The Cave of Dreams'.
It was easy for us to find and parking on site, so even better.
Having got there before going into Baza, our hosts, Clive & Allan were off out so gave us the key, so we could let ourselves in later when we'd finished visiting Baza.
Initial reaction to our 'room' was WOW. We loved it. Spotlessly clean, it had everything we wanted. Very rustic and well thought out. Loved the tea making facilities and the fridge. The bathroom was great, very modern with quality fittings.
After a bit of unpacking, we sat outside sipping wine on our terrace and just relaxing. Exactly what we wanted.
Later in the evening, we had a BBQ with Clive & Allen. It was so nice having a laugh and a chat outside under the stars on a warm summer night and hearing of their adventures with the cave and learning about the area.
After a fabulous nights sleep - the mattresses were very comfy - we showered and went down for brekkie. Everything was perfect and served in gorgeous local pottery. A nice touch.
On the way out, we wished we'd booked a couple of nights, but promised ourselves we'd return. Highly recommended, go stay and see for yourself.
Allan and Clive are so welcoming that it felt like we were staying with friends rather than hosts. The cave is a perfect little cueva that has been decorated with all the little touches that makes it feel like a home. We always looked forward to breakfast with our hosts as they showed genuine interest in our "cave hunt". Their own cave has a very Moroccan feel to it and it was a riot of colour. The view from the terrace was stunning both during the day and at night when the milky way was as bright as ever under the clear Spanish nights.
What can I say? I had the most amazing stay at the Cave of Dreams. Allan and Clive were the perfect hosts. The cave is awesome and the views are amazing. This is a perfect spot for exploring the region. Allan and Clive are a mine of information and are more than happy to let you know all the places to see and things to do. Breakfast provided is lovely, all locally sorced and delicious. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone. It is just PERFRCT for a relaxing break away. Can't wait to return.!!!
Ok guys this cave house is just amazing and I mean amazing. For 40 euro a night 2 yes 2 of you can get B&B in the Spanish countryside
A separate cave upstairs with a private shower room and patio area and views yes views is yours all yours for your stay . The weather was on our side and stayed blue sky's and sunshine which ment it was hot but the cave stayed at 20 degrees regardless of the sun outside
Ideal place to use as a base and explore mainland Spain . Granada is under an hour away and the cost is 1 hour 15 plus you can go ski in winter from this location and that's also 1 hour . I'm booking back in for next year for a week and going to explore more of the area and enjoy my stay in this beautiful cave .
This has to be one of the loveliest places I've stayed in. Clive and Allan made my stay so memorable. They were friendly and knowledgeable, helping me out with my stay and where to go. The breakfast was beautiful, and such a peaceful nights sleep! Cant recommend this place enough, and such good value for money.
