We stayed here a couple of nights last week and first of all, I want to say that every hotel staff member we came in contact with was polite, very friendly and asking how they could help us.

The view from our room was just what we wanted looking over Centennial Park and beautiful all lit at night.

Now the issues found with the room -

The two desk chairs are in need of replacement or at the least, re-upholstering/stuffing/refinishing. The seats of the chairs do not have enough cushion/support to hold an average person above the "hole" of the frame. Thus you "sit within" the frame itself.

The ottoman's finish was rubbed and worn around all edges that had it looking like a tired garage sale item neglected by the road side.

The entertainment center is in need of repair. The top left door would not stay ajar against the side of the cabinet and would swing out half way closed. We had to tie it back in order to hold it open so you would be able to walk around the bed.

We had a King bed Deluxe Room. The bed was somewhat on the too firm side. Therefore, tossed and turned mostly.

There is one HVAC vent for the whole room. No vent in the bathroom. No fan in the bathroom.

The drain in the tub would not stay open in order for the water to drain from the tub and you had to hold it down in order for it to do so. A little frustrating while showering!

We mentioned these issues the next morning to the desk and was offered a room in the North Tower which had a more modern decor, but we specifically wanted a room in the South Tower with the Park view and balcony so we declined. Also, there was very little availability we were told due to the "Momocon" event being held at the convention center next door.

For the rate we paid, and we purchased the 'Bed and Breakfast' package, the room was not up to the Omni standard for which we have always known to be a pristine standard.

I hope management/operations are planning soon to correct these issues in the South Tower since I do not believe this room is the only one noting similar issues.

The hotel was pretty good overall. Everything was clean and all of the staff were nice and helpful. The only problem we had was that we couldn't figure out how to turn on the shower. We had to call 3 times before someone finally came to help us. But we still couldn't figure out how to turn on the hot water. We spoke with some of our other friends who were also staying at the Omni and they said they couldn't get hot water from their shower either.

The Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center ended up being great after moving from my initial room in the south building on the 4th floor apparently above the rain below. It sounded a train under my room every so many minutes. The tower was also old and pretty beat up. The rooms were old, dark, dingy and needed a refresh. My new room in the north tower on the other hand was pretty nice and that building was in great shape. If I had stayed in the original room I would have been extremely disappointed but glad I moved instead.

The hotel staff was great. Me, being a doofus, hadn't checked to make sure we have a valid reservation. Despite being insanely busy that weekend the front staff made sure my friends and I got into a room and were able to enjoy our vacation.

Great place to stay. Pool was overly cold not heated as described. Housekeepers could be a little nicer but overall a great place to stay! Lines for the elevators was very long but considering MomoCon was going on it is understandable. Great price when booking through Momocon.
